New fight for UFC 62 Brandon Vera vs Frank Mir is going to go down at UFC 62 I for one think Mir, who is one of my fav fighters so this is hard to say, was so out of shape he will get destroyed by Vera if u don't believe me here is the link: look on the top right of the web pages screen. http://brandonvera.com |
Very rough fight for Mir to take. I'd bet the house on Vera in this one. Vera is on the rise while Mir is on the downfall. |
Vera is my favorite fighter he will crush Mir and prolly get his title shot :cruzifiedmotherfuck |
Mir shouldn't have taken this fight. |
If this is true, then at last the card is looking decent. Again, bad choice for Mir. Let's hope he get's in proper shape cos I heard his trainer kicked his flabby ass out due to his lack of willingness to train for the Christinson fight. |
Yeah I really can't see Mir winning this one either. I just hope he shows up in somewhat better shape. |
If this was the old Mir, the in shape Mir, this fight wouldnt be in question. Mir would be the favorite and probably by submission. But its not the old Mir anymore its a new Mir that I just cant stand watching. I wish this fight was happening @ UFC 63 or 64 so Mir could get into proper shape. Chance are he wont be in shape and Vera will just walk right through him. Its kind of disappointing because I believe right now Mir is in a fight for his career and a loss right now would probably send him into the abyss for a long time. |
i seen vera but i got to say: ITS NOT OVER! TIL ITS OVER!- mir might never be looked at to face fedor like years past but its a plus to ufc62- eliers took that kick from vera like it was staged- but it was a nice kick and vera earned has spot on this card but i`m going with mir by sub- |
Mir's obviously got something, actually, a whole f'in lot to prove to the UFC, to Dana White, to the fans, to the MMA community, and more importantly, to himself. He's still got a pretty loyal fan following, and a lot of people want to give him the benefit of the doubt that he can still turn his career around. It's definitely a good fight to put on this card (seeing as how UFCs 63 and 64 are already shaping up to be very solid, if not exceptional cards), but Mir absolutely has to come out in the best possible shape, 100% focused, and with extra reserves of heart and grit and determination. He's going to need it, because Brandon Vera looks to be the UFCs next version of Georges St. Pierre: on paper, a relatively inexperienced, yet undefeated fighter, but in the cage or ring, and absolute fighting wunderkind who fights as if he's had Evan Tanner's experience and a Forrest Griffin knack for excitement. Matter of fact, the parallels are almost too eerie: Vera's first HW title fight would most likely be against Tim Sylvia, a Militich guy. GSP's first title fight was against Matt Hughes, THE Militich guy. |
God I hope Mir wins. |
