The first time they fought was when Vitor was young and was lightning fast, tearing people up. The thing with his sister missing was before the 2nd fight that his glove cut Randys eye. He has 8 losses. 2 he got caught with subs early in his carreer, one was a sub loss to val overeem which is horrible, then he got beat by barnett and ricco, 2 huge hw that where arguably top 5, then the frak cut to vitor, then koed by the guy that many consider the #1 lhw. It is a lot of losses but I think his wins still show that he is a great fighter.

Sometimes you have to look deeper into the fight to depict the reason behind the loss or at least a MAJOR contribution to it.

Tito was never overrated, he dominated people and was the most domintant champion UFC had ever seen Untill Chuck and Matt Hughes and of course Hughes takes the crown now. How does that make for an overrated fighter?

In addition, IMO Tito is in his prime now, He is the perfect age for when MMA fighters really mature and hit their prime, he is training like an animal and creating an empire with all the TUF fighters, I look for ALL of their careers to be on hte rise and they owe that to Tito and his intense training methods. He has dominated his competition in his first 2 returning matches (even though the Griffin fight was close, Tito was very injured and round 1 was dominant, 2 black eyes, bleeding from both and a broken nose and a healthy Tito will be able to keep close that pace for an entire 5 round fight).

Never thought Tito was overrated, only haters would claim that, he dominated wrestling tourneys, matches lasting 45 minutes. Beat Hughes and Arona and the decision was blown in the Arona match but point is, I don't see how anyone could possibly justify Tito being underated.

tito does train like an animal. he's sending Team Punishment to good placed, and really giving them a great camp
as a coach, especially watching him in TUF 3 and seeing Punishment completely dominate at the WFA event, i would say he's one of the best

but in no way is he not being some dominant champion doesn't mean shit when he fights guys like Evan Tanner, who's a natural MW, and Matyushenko after he loses like 20 pounds of water in a few days, and gasses in the first.
call me a hater with some bullshit straw man defense, and i really don't care. as a fighter, i don't like him. he's overrated, and cannot beat the top 5. until he soundly beats Arona, Wandy, Chuck, Shogun, or lil Nog in an MMA fight, i will hold to my statement

Has ANY top give fighter ever SOUNDLY beaten another top five fighter? Tito's a great fighter....and for you guys to crap on him because of the guys he faces is stupid. He didn't decide his fights. What was he supposed to do...refuse to fight Tanner for a title because Tanner usually fights at a lighter weight?

Randy Couture absolutely dominated Tito and Randy who were "top 5 fighters"Caol Uno vs. BJ Penn was supposed to be a competitive fight with the winner being the number one contender for the LW title and BJ Penn KOed him in 11 seconds!GSP and Hughes have dominated fighters who were supposed to give them a competitive match up.Crocop was supposed the guy that would beat Wanderlei and although it was technically a draw Wand out struck and beat Crocop without taking much damage with the exception of a few brutal body kicks from Crocop.Dan Henderson KOed Murilo Bustamante in under a minute.Top 5 fighters have dominated other top 5 fighters before in the past.
