pride can easily take the heavyweight belt and has a good chance at taking the light-heavyweight belt, but no one there can beat hughes for the welterweight title and i think franklin can beat hendo. and as far as the ring for the first round and cage for the second goes, that's stupid. they might as well put a ladder in the third cause its starting to sound like WWE. and 100,000 fans? the highest gate to date has been 18,000 and that just happened, i don't see pride breaking 100,000 even if its some supershow. i'm all for pride comin to the states, but this guy needs to leave his ego in japan.

WELL PUT...FEDOR WILL TAKE THE HW BELT NO PROB... BUT THEY WILL HAVE A HELL OF A TIME TAKING THE OTHER ONES...ESPECIALLY LHW, MW, AND WW... I THINK GOMI HAS A GOOD CHANCE AT THE LW BELT BUT THAT WILL BE THOUGH TOO.. ESPECIALLY IF BENN DROPS TO 155 AND WITH PULVER BACK THAT WOULD BE A HELL OF A REMATCH...

Everyone is taking this guy WAY to seriously. This is standard promoter hype. Of course he hypes his fighters, just like UFC will hype theirs. This is good for the fans except for the WWE multiple ring/octagon idea.
Take it for what it is...a guy trying to get people interested in his product and sell tickets and PPV buys.
I think there will definitely be a quasi-merge between UFC and PRIDE. All this cross promotion stuff absolutley does not happen between true rivals.

At the "supershow" have each promotions champions face each other with both belts on the line. That'd be the biggest card ever.

Of course he's gonna say that his fighters are gonna "devour" the UFC fighters. He's the Pride president, and is trying to hype up the fights. Just as I am sure Dana White would say all of his fighters are gonna win.
As for Killerinstinct saying that Chuck is gonna knock Wanderlei the fuck out, that's all speculation. Each one has an equal chance to win the fight. I'd say Wand is the slight favorite as far as odds go though.
Of course Pride isn't gonna win all the titles. But they could definitely take the HW, LHW, and LW. Middleweight and Welterweight will be tougher IMO.

Ok i am seriously getting excited. Picture this all of the major sports have two leagues, NBA, NFL, MLB etc. We will have Pride and UFC. They can have their "SUPERBOWL" once a year for the next 50. Mix in some "intraleague events" and we have every MMA fans dream come true.

Its funny how if dana white was to say that the ufc would devour pride people wold talk shit about him. Seriously the pride owner is way to conceeded to think that pride would takeover ufc. Lets all be honest compare ufc and pride popolarity in amreica who wins that 1?plus wwe was gona takeover ufc and they couldnt do that pride would have no chance in hell to dat either. Good matches though

yes thank you mma suits,,,,,,,,finally its going down,,,,,my question is,,, what about the rules in pride that we all like ,,,,soccer kicks to the head, stomps, etc,, can those rules still apply in america???? i doubt it,,,ufc fought hard to become legit here and basically set the concrete for promoting in america. wandy, shogun, fedor, crop cop, etc are badasses but doesn't that take out a lot out of there gameplan? either way i can't wait.....i wouldn't bet on the chuck vs wandy fight,,too damm close......
