I would watch a re-match. I really thought that gracie would win the at UFC 60, though now I'm not sure why. I do think that Royce would do better against Hughes in the re-match, but I don't think he'd win. I'd much rather Royce fight someone else like Diego Sanchez or Karo.

Before the fight a friend and me were discussing Royce's chance, my friend laughed at me and said "you really think royce has a chance?" and I was devastated, because the truth came to me, Royce is a legend, no question there, but Hughes is younger, waaaay stronger, and faster and by being shorter tha Royce, he has a balance advantage due to his gravity point being lower. Therefore, physically, everything is against Royce, his will is unmatched, but truth be told, he won't be able to beat Hughes on will alone. I love what Royce has done for MMA, I love BJJ, but the current fighters are just better.

I wouldnt mind seeing Royce fight Dean Lister (if they could agree to a fight weight) but I wouldnt pay again to watch him fight Hughes again.

Royce is a MMA legend, no doubt about it. But......c'mon guys, get real! Before there was what we know as MMA, there was Royce blowing everyone's mind by beating much larger (and also VERY undertrained) fighters in the beginning UFCs. I was a big fan and still am to this day for what Royce has done for the sport. That being said, when I heard of the first fight I began making bets with all my friends that were absolutely positive Gracie would beat Hughes. It was funny to me to see how everyone still sees the past and doesn't want to come to the reality that Hughes vs Royce today is the equivalent of Gracie vs all the one dimensional fighters of the first UFCs. This is starting to sound like the people that are still holding on to the possibility of Ken Shamrock beating Ortiz. Its just not going to happen. Nobody wants Royce to start being thought of as a Ken Shamrock. Its time that he hang up the thought of being the best and focus on being one of the best teachers of Jui-Jitsu in the world. He's already accomplished the task of being the greatest at one point, no need to prove anything else now.

If they do a rematch then it needs to be on the undercard of another big fight. I personally feel the same way for this fight as i did the last. Royce has an outside chance to submit Matt but matt is the overwhelming favorite. Royce will not quit or tap he proved that again last fight. Let him fight some other WW's and MW's. He still has alot of good fights left in him he is just not the dominant fighter he used to be. I would like to see him fight again.

I can see it both ways. I don't think he has much of a chance but I love to watch the guy fight.

Does anyone know why it was a catch weight fight? Is it because Royce couldn't make weight or just didn't want too? I never really understood that. I know he made a mound of cash but it seems like losing 5 more pounds would be worth taking the belt. Just curious?

he didnt want to lose weight. And he wasnt under contract with the UFC so even if it was a title fight they would have just stripped him of the belt anyway. This was just Dana cashing in on a Legend's reputation.
