| Boxing rings...
A HUGE pet peeve of mine is the stupid boxing ring they use for Pride /K1 fights. Use a cage of some kind... Just about every fight has to be stopped 2 or 3 times because someone's in the ropes... This also causes alot of unnatural "breathers" for some fighters who might otherwise be seconds away from losing. i.e. The K1 Sakuraba fight the other night. If he was in a cage, he would have been stopped.
Whether or not you are pro UFC or pro PrideFC, you have to admit, the ring causes problems and breaks up the natural flow of a fight....

A cage looks more badass to rookie fans also. Quote: |

I remember them booing Tanner's awesome 3 round demolision of Phil Baroni - pissed me off proper that did. Also they booed Genki Sudo lol.
git.

My biggest pet peve is when the fans start booing just because the fight is on the ground and the fighters are working for position. I'm not just talking about UFC either, this happened at the WFA:King of the Streets, and the last Strikeforce event as well.

But i will admit there are times when i get aggravated with a fighter who is just in wrestling mode trying to squeeze out a decison. Like Koschech when he first stated fighting.

I don't enjoy the lay-and-pray either, but there are other options than booing them, that isn't gonna make them change their game plan.

I tend to agree with what's been said about the grabbing the ring/fence to stop a suplex/takedown. It takes a lot of energy to try that & it gets wasted by cheating & the cheater benefits?!! (Same goes for holding the ropes to kick/stomp)
Booing REALLY annoys the crap out of me. It's totally disrespectful.
I also get annoyed when I read people getting REALLY animated about "fantasy" matchups. Like "Tito would demolish Shogan" then everyone starts venomously bickering about it & what would happen in the fight. It's childish cos it's only based on opinions, yet some guys get a bit too vocal. Actually that's why I like this forum, these threads are segregated.

Goldberg annoys the shit out of me. Especially during the Tito-Griffin fight when he was talking to Bonnar and also when he says shit like "SO YOU WANNA BE AN ULTIMATE FIGHTER?!?!?!" or "Here's a guy who knows how to bring it!"
Should just be Rogan and Couture if you ask me.

The big example that comes to mind, is Asseurio Silva vs. Tim Sylvia at UFN 4. Fair is fair, Sylvia used Silva as a punching bag that whole match. But there was one point where Silva had Tim from behind, and he was obviously going for a suplex. Tim Sylvia grabs the cage, stopping the suplex. The ref says "Bad Tim, bad.", and that's the end of it. Assuerio Silva's suplexes are one of his biggest fight-ending weapons. I would love to know how that fight would have ended if Tim Sylvia hadn't *CHEATED*. Pisses me right off. I feel robbed.... I wonder who feels more robbed, me or Asseurio. | I couldn't agree more. The most recent chance we had to see if Sylvia is a total can once you slam him on the ground was foiled by his dumpy ass grabbing the cage. That totally sucked. That pisses me off even more than Goldie.

Totally agree and remember that. They should stop and restart in the centre when that happens.
