What will happen to Andrei Arlovski

After dropping two in a row to Tim Sylvia what will become of the once "unbeatable" heavyweight? I figure there isn't much for him to accomplish in the UFC at this point. With the expection of Vera and Monson he has pretty much defeated all the other heavyweights in the UFC. I was curious what you all think will become of the former champ.
On a personal note I was very disappointed in his loss to Tim Sylvia. I am an AA fan and wish he would have won the first fight. You all know how dana white works. Dana is likely to release him now that he is no longer the champ and like I said has already defeated everyone in the heavyweight divison. Do you think White will keep him around in the UFC until Sylvia loses the belt?(Whch I hope is real soon) Or do you think we will see AA fighting for Pride or a different promotion? I just wanted to know what you all thought.

I'd love to see him in Pride - I think he would learn a great deal there, and also we could find out where he stands in the world pecking order.

I think Dana will keep him though, simply because the hw division is so thin and he is a fan favourite.

git.

I hope your right. I like his fights because they are exciting. With the exception of the last one. We all know how boring that was.

He's dropping to LHW.

Would be great if he did - I really couldn't care less about the UFC hw division, so I would love to see the lhw division get loaded. Vera should join the party too, as should Franklin if he beats Silva. War Bisping. :grinsmile1:

AA should go some where else. He has nothing to prove in the UFC . He should have no problem beating Vera or Monson, so what would that leave him? Fighting Tim again? He should go to WFA or Pride, but in Pride he wouldnt have much of a shot to do anything. Maybe even Strikeforce.

he's not goin anywhere, dana knows he is money so he'll take out a few scrubs and eventually get a title shot. it probably won't be til the end of '07, and it won't be a big deal bc sylvia won't have the belt that long between monson, vera and kongo. plus coleman's coming back, so there's a good chance we could see a nice feud with him and arlovski. and thats just if he stays at heavyweight. if he drops down, there's a world of other possibilities. AA isnt goin anywhere. and he really hasn't beaten anyone in the HW division because i'm pretty sure everyone he beat as champ is gone.

he should drop to LHW

Yes Pride is not the place for him, there is just way too much copetition there, he may want to try K-1 HEROS as Herring is there and Brock Lesner now in October so their HW division is looking really good and AA would have a decent shot at winning the belt at some point in his career as long as lesner does not become this freak of nature that can't be defeated.

He would defeat Monson IMO, Vera vs AA would be a good fight and I certainly would like to see it so possiby what heppens now is Monson vs Sylvia for the tittle, Mir vs Vera for the contender spot, if Sylvia retains the belt Monson vs AA for the next contender spot and if Monson wins vera vs AA for the contender spot (even though Mir vs Vera is supposed to be the contender fight).

Any way you look at it, it sucks, hopefully Kongo moves up quickly and is a beast so the HW division can add some depth.

I say the ufc keeps him and he fights a few o.k fighters, a rematch with buentello would be ok then have him beat mir and vera then he should be on the road for another shot, prolly wont happen for a year or so though
