How many hours ahead is UK to America? I would guess it is about 6-7 hours ahead of the east coast. So it wouldn't be a drastic tape delay, just a few hours. At least then they would be able to tape the show then decide which fights deserve to be on the PPV broadcast based on what fights are best with the main event still being the final fight shown on the PPV.

Just to go over a couple of things for you guys.

The UK is ahead of the US (timewise) therefore if a show starts at 1900 over here it'll be about mid-day to you guys on the east coast. So if you want to watch it live (ppv, streaming) it's not that bad (unlike us where a 1900 show in the US is about 0100 over here!)

But the main point is that Europe is not defined solely as the UK. Most of the best fighters in MMA ever are from Europe, so it's a way for the UFC to scout talent that would never get the chance on the US circuit.

Bas Rutten, Gilbert Yvel, Alistair Overeem (all dutch), Fedor, Arlovski, Kharitonov (all eastern block/Russian), Jerome LeBanner, Anthony Rea (French), Crocop (Croatian), Joachin Hansen (Swedish). These are just a few names that have done real well in MMA in the "big" orgs, but believe me that's the tip of the iceberg.
