“I wanted to thank you for all your support following UFC 75. I put a lot of heart into that fight and I feel good about my performance. I am still improving and getting better with more training and to become a well-rounded fighter. I am looking forward to more fights in the near future. PS I want to thank you all for the emails. I have thousands and its hard to respond to all of them but I do try to read them when I have free time and it lifts my spirit. So thank you.”

I have to be honest about this one. Matt Hamill is one of the most humble guys in the sport. I like the guy and hope that he goes far. He's an inspiration and that, no one can take away from him. Win or lose he came out looking like the better fighter in the Bisping fight and I think he has gained many fans because of his attitude after the fact.


Now I don't think hes a great fighter, but I think it takes class to come out and say what he said and not bitch about the decision, alot more class than Bisping had and he won the fight. I respect Hamill alot more after this fight than I did before, and hope he keeps training and gets better.

i was one of the few who wanted Hamill to win and who truly felt he was going to win. i think most people would agree with me when i say "He won that fight!" but ofcourse leaving the fight in the judges hands can lead to some definite bullshit!

Hamill will improve and be better, and i venture to say that if they were to fight again sometime down the line, he'd finish Bisping on the ground. WAR Hamill! cant wait to see him fight again.

I hate Matt Hamill. I think he's a dick. But, I honestly felt bad for him and I do appreciate his being classy after this. However, I still think he's a dick.

Agree! Matt Hamill is one of the most humble guys I have ever seen in the octagon! Even though he got ass-raped by the judges (and he knew it), he was very professional after the fight, most guys would have went crazy! He just looked sad, thats another reason I feel so bad for him, he was very gracious in an ass-rappin decision.

Pre-fight I posted something about Bisping knocking the deaf outta him...I feel bad for that remark now because he has been all class. I honestly still don't know what he did on TUF to make everyone hate him, I just didn't like watching him fight all that much. He kinda got shit on on TUF by alot of the other guys. Hopefully he GNP's Bisping next fight and shuts his loud mouth ass up.

Official Statement from Matt Hamill

I would like to thank everyone for their unbelievable support. I fought my heart out in London and feel I should have won the fight. The outpouring of support from people all over the world has touched my heart. It validates my performance to myself and that means as much as a win to me. I think MMA is a great sport and I don't believe in any kind of a fix. The two judges that scored the win for Bisping obviously need to re-evaluate the way they score a fight. You can't win a fight when you run for three rounds. They need to study the criteria for scoring an MMA fight: effective striking, grappling, takedowns, aggression and control. Bisping did none of that in my opinion. The UFC has the best MMA in the world and I am proud to be a part of it. I will be fighting in the UFC for a long time. Thanks again to all my fans, especially to all the English fans who came up to me after the fight to tell me I was the winner. I will be back in the octagon very soon and promise to fight my heart out like I always have.
