I went with Fisher-Wiman also

I am a follower. I went with Wiman vs Spencer also. It went back and forth, action all the way through, and great ending with the flying knee. The whole card was pretty decent, alot of submissions, which I like. I definitely thought Swick vs Riggs and Vera vs Silva would be closer.

Wiman vs Fisher for me as well. Knees to the head make me happy. Great win for Fisher, hopefully a LW champ is established in the very near future for the LW Division.

Fisher-Wiman was the best overall but in terms of the drama Hughes/Gracie

That flying knee was insane so I have to give it too Fisher vs. Wyman. Guy goes from nearly being tapped out to pulling off one of the coolest moves I've ever seen.

The ref had to stop the fight when it comes to Gracie and Hughes. Hughes was in a very controlling postion and if he really wanted to he could have done some real serouis damage to Gracie. If you payed attention to the replays, it seemed obvious to me that Hughes knew he had the fight and didnt really want to hurt Gracie. Thats would explain why some of the blows didn't look that bad. You also dont want to be the ref that let the fight continue for those 20 seconds and end up having Graice get a serouis injury.

Wiman vs. Fisher was a banging fight that came to a finish. That first round had everything.


Sanchez vs. Alessio was a good fight that went to decision.

I went with the Fisher fight as well, but then I didn't see the Horn Vs Sonnen, Guillard Vs. Davis or the Gonzaga Vs. Scherner fights, so I can't comment on them.

I have to agree with Nickname on the Hughes/Gracie fight though. In fairness it was probably the right decision, but I see a lot of fights in the UFC where the refs are looking for an excuse to stop the fight.

Yes Hughes was on Gracies back & wailing his arms around but I wasn't convinced he was hurting him. It seems that as soon as fighters have back control all they need to do is throw fists. Land or not in recent UFC's Herb & Big John will jump in, where in the past they used to tell the fighters to protected themselves for a while before jumping in.
