Fuck Brock. If he want's a contract, he can fight for 12G +12G like any other fighter with one win in a hack organization.

Fedor shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as him.

Unless Brock beats Randy, Barnett, and Arlovski in the same night, he needs to shut his mouth and get a few wins in Rumble on the Rock or something.

Dana White has already mentioned an immediate title shot for Fedor (which makes this thread a complete waste) which will hopefully be Coutures next bout. Might be a future match up only if Brock dismantles everyone he fights.

No disrespect, but this is really a no brainer. First of all there is no way that Brock should ever be allowed that kind of match up yet. There are far too many other heavyweights that have trained and worked a lot harder than him in this sport. He just does not deserve it. Secondly if they did fight at this point Fedor would kill him

The Nevada State Commission would not let it happen.

Does anyone have an argument against this that doesn't involve the words "He doesn't deserve to fight Fedor"? By that token Forrest doesn't deserve to fight Shogun (unranked vs #1), Serra didn't deserve to fight GSP (unraked vs #1 {agruably number one though}). Dana doesn't always put up those who deserve to fight.

I'm just wondering if anyone has a legit argument as to why this would be bad for the sport.

I already made a similar thread about a potential Brock vs. Cro Cop matchup that got a pretty negative response, and Cro Cop is much farther down the ladder than Fedor.

I see where you're coming from, but Dana has already said that Fedor gets an immediate title shot when he signs as he should. They can introduce him through a video package similar to the Hughes-Gracie promo that'll make him look like the unstoppable monster he is.

Lesnar's debut in itself will probably generate a lot of PPV buys, so he doesn't need to be matches up with a great fighter his first time out.

Thats a dumb comparison. Serra won a tv show an was given a title shot for winning.

Forrest won his last fight, also won the reality show, an some other wins.

Brock Lessnar 1 mma fight against a no one.

Serra is like 10-4
Forrest 13-4
Brock 1-0

What has Brock done to warrent a fight with Fedor right now. Thats a bitch slap to Fedor.

Brock has beaten no one, an only 1 fight.

At least Griffen an Serra have fights under them against tough guys.

my main reasoning behind not wanting to see this..well i wanna see it but the reasoning behind it being a bad idea is I don't see how handing Brock an almost guarenteed lost helps him.."motivate to train harder" im sure he trains plenty hard, and bringing him up on mid highes, then higher guys then giving him a title shot, will give him alot more experience and training then throwing him to the best fighter in the world, giving him a loss..i don't see how giving him a loss is good reasoning at all..period
