| Fedor Vs Brock, good or bad
Hi all,
I know the whole Fedor and Brock rumours have been on going for quite some time now so this isn't going to be a thread about any rumours or possible signings. Just something that I've been thinking about...
If the UFC does end up landing both of these guys I would truly like to see them square off in each of their UFC debuts and here's my reasoning.
Fedor, arguably the best pound for pound fighter in the world clearly has the skills but he's still not very well known in North America. Lesnar on the other hand is the opposite. He's very inexperienced, but talanted, and he's widly known. Having the two fight would really be win win for the UFC.
If Fedor wins then everyone in North America will now know his name because he beat "The Next Big Thing". Another bonus would be Brock having his ass handed would hopefully lead to a reality check for him and bring his ego down a few notches, motovate him to train harder, and HOPEFULLY bring down his overall asking price per fight when he finally realizes he's not the end all be all to MMA as he currently believes.
If Lesnar happens to win then (and it's not a fluke or lucky shot) then he proves to the world that he's legit and the UFC has yet another top heavy weight to add to their growing roster. The downside of this is Lesnars exploding ego wouldn't fit inside the arenas anymore and all the "Wrestlers can hang with MMA guys" guys would have more ammo.
Any thoughts?

I might be wrong (which is usually the case) but I can't see what motivation fedor would have to fight someone like brock. There's nothing in it for him. The last thing i think fedor needs is to prove himself. I think he's done that a bunch of times.

Um, wouldn't Brock have to work his way up to fight the king?
Brock vs. AA
Brock vs. CC
Brock vs. Randy
Brock vs. Josh
Brock vs. Werdum
Just off the top of my head!

| I would hope that would happen, but Lindland didn't gain any humility when Fedor handed him his.

At one victory, Brock Lesnar has ALONG way to go before he can begin to even think about getting in the ring with Fedor.
On any given day, any man can beat another, but it's not about that..it's about earning the opportunity and Brock has a long way to go.

Randy Couture and Josh Barnett. After that, no other heavyweight really deserves to step in the ring/cage with Fedor. He is at the top of the mountian, and there just isn't that many guys grabbing at his feet right now.

I agree Brock has no right to fight Fedor so quickly. But that being said you know he's asking for a huge payday right away so he can't be fighting cans. I just think it would be a good way to introduce Fedor to the casual fan, have him beat up on someone they already know and recoganize as being a beast.
