Lister's performance was lackluster, and his standup is sad, but his JJ is insane. He's got work to do, but he's a solid fighter and will kick some ass in the future. Riggs on the other hand, is on crack as evidenced by his post fight comments. This may not be an exact quote b/c I was laughing too hard to hear everything he said but: "Noone can beat me at 170. Noone". OK Joe. I say Riggs vs. Sanchez should be next being that they're both convinced they're invincible.

Lister the only way he can finish a fight is a submission, you don't have to worry that much about the rest of his game. He definitely can perform better then he did last night but he is no threat to Franklin's title.

I dissagree with you because Nog is the best grappler in the world and is ranked #2 in the world and was ranked #1 for a long time before Fedor took the belt. Nog has good boxing but finishes fights via sub so Lister just needs to improve on standup and does not need world class standup to defeat Franklin, just decent standup and a takedown.

i like joe riggs it just seems that he does not have confedice in himself. he has the skills but he has a lil girl mentally.good sub
Lister overrated who said he was highly rated?

Look at his record, just because his last fight he destroyed the guy well put any BJJ black belt in the ring with a jobber that’s going to happen.

I watched him in Pride and was ok, nothing great, so he gets to the UFC and has 1 fight where he looks awesome.
Then his next fight is against someone who knows the ground game and now people say he's overrated.

Just because Joe Rogan hypes up his Abu Dhabi championship doesn't mean he is a great MMA fighter that why Abu Dhabi is not considered on your MMA record.

Deans almost 30 what you see is what you get, he is awful standing up, but he is never going to be a great striker, his fight is on the ground.

Nogueira is a total package he has both striking skillz and a ground game and he is only 30 still room to learn.

How about Dean Lister vs. Diego?

Your reply is all over the place man.

First you say his UFC debut was against a jobber, sorry, Alessio is not a "Jobber".

Then you go on to say He is almost 30 so what you see is what you get then say Nog is only 30 and he has room to learn? He has good boxing and is the best grappler in the world, where is he going to improve? )and don't say striking because it will still never be as good as Fedor's so miproving his striking would not help him against Fedor).

If Fedor was not around Nog would still be #1 in the world, he needs not improve, he is at the top of his game and that is second best in the world, unfortunately Fedor is just too good.

What I was trying to say is that lister is not going to be as good as striker as nog.
They are around the same age meaning nog is more ahead of lister.
Lister does not have hard hands and no boxing skills,it take years to become a good boxer lister is too far behind,so he should do what he does best BBj.

I agree but he will still need to improve his standup in order for his BJJ to be useful as if he is just a 1 dimensional grappler his ooponents will know the shot will be coming so they will just stay away from him and pick him apart with a stiff jab and a sprawl.

Why the fuck did Nog's name get mentioned WTF does he have to do with Lister?

I think Lister looked good.He had some nice take downs and a very active guard. He gassed ,but just ,b/c he gassed in one fight doesn't mean he has poor conditioning.Cabbage got KOed against Tank does that mean he has a weak chin?Jeremy Horn was submitted by Frank Shamrock does that mean he's no good on the ground? You shouldn't judge a fighters entire career on one fight.

BTW Riggs looked extremely impressive against Von Flue.I thought Von Flue could pose a bit of a problem for Riggs b/c of his unorthodox style(I still thought Riggs would win though),but Riggs usually always looks good against opening carders and cans.I'll be impressed when he does good against a big name instead of him dominating all these decent fighters and than getting absolutely dominated once the competition gets a little bit steeper.
