Leben will be champ by 30 By the time he is 30 years old he will be middleweight champ. He looked like he was keeping his chin down this time for sure.Leben has all around skills his submissions are above average his ground and pound is decent, and his striking is improving fight by fight. That plus the kid has a heart and grit that you can't deny. And let's not forget his awesome chin...If there is anyone that disagrees with any above statements, please state why after seeing this performance and tell me if you don't think he is a top contender. |
He looked sloppy, the only that kept him from getting KO'd tonight was his iron chin and the only thing that won him the fight was his 1 punch KO power. He was loosing the fight, he has great potential but when you look at other fighters who have iron chins and KO power they are much much craftier than Leben so possibly at the age of 30 but the way the sport is going I would actually have to dissagree. I think 6 years from now the sport will have evolved even more and UFC will be bringing in more and more top ranked talent so I honestly only see World Class fighters like the Hughes', GSP's, Franklin's, Anderson Silva's, Chuck's, Babalu's and Tito's being world champion's and who knows, 6 years from now the champions may all be Fedor like fighters that are just untouchable. |
yea im a big leben fan and he fought sloppy he sucks balls in that fight. fluke punch. |
leben it was a good win for leben but don't foget Anderson Silva look for him to be the champ before Leben. Leben was going in with his chin high at hands down at times so he still has to keep working on technique but he does have heart. Besides all that the champ Franklin is in a whole diffewrent league. With a broken friggin hand he fought a top contender loiseau and still dominated most of the fight with loiseau getting oine good knockdown in the third round. My point...I think rich franklin stays champ for a pretty long time. |
I like Leben and can see him bein champ if he does more than just go in there with a punchers chance... but tonight the left was on FIIIIRRRRREEE |
I think not. |
Reasons Legend? Do you disagree he will be champ by the age of 30,or that he is a top contender? Also this is a question for everybody..Is Leben better then Quarry? Also list a top 10 middleweight in UFC. |
list a top 10 of the MW division? or list UFC guys in the top 10 and i dont give a fuck how Leben can stand and bang, he tried with Silva. didnt work to well there. and Ace would do the same thing until Leben learns footwork, and how to keep his hands up and his chin down, he will get KTFO'd by anybody with a real standup game |
I disagree witht the topic. I don't think he'll ever be champ to be quite honest. I have nothing against him on a personal level. I just feel he leaves himself open to get blasted a lot, and his use of angles is terrible. At the beginning of tonight's fight before he landed his left out of nowhere the standup looked similar to the Silva fight because his opponent was dancing around and using angles and just picking him apart.... EVERY top guy does that flawlessly. I firmly believe that if he even fought Swick again, at this point, it would be pretty ugly. Like someone else said on here, with Swick, Crow, and Ace, you can not take a shot and hope to land a home run shot because you'll be lights out after the first punch. |
If your right I'll be the first to admit it,lets see who they line Leben up with next. Until then I think it's odd that some push the Leben Swick fight aside as if it's not even a legitimate arguement, but act as if the Silva fight is a blueprint to beat a one dimensional fighter. You ask me if Leben fights Silva 10 times that doesnt happen 10 times out of ten, maybe 5. |
