Damn man you sound like what i would have said two days ago.. but my point is that if a guy is hurting hes gonna make a mistake.. too much pride to get tapped out so why not do something stupid.. If he had some wrestling back ground he would have put a leg out to the side b4 hughes locked his legs in got his base up and tried to Gramby Roll out of it that would have been his only hope but when you are in pain from a half assed Keylock youre gonna do stupid shit... my point is that Gracie BJJ is on a down fall cause they dont cross train... hell he looked like an ethiopean at 175. Get on the JUICE and hit the weights alteast... he was beat long b4 he got in the ring. he was out classed... A GRACIE would NEVER TAKE FALL FOR MONEY...

I think that puts it best.If you have no real proof.you have nothing.I understand where your coming from your upset royce didn't win so am I and so are a lot of mma fans ,but just b/c you expected him to do better doesn't mean he didn't try.Royce had nothing to gain to come back and lose this fight on purpose.I've heard the same arguments that the shamrock/ace fight was set-up ,but untill you have any solid evidence i can't take your claim seriously.

Hughes is just a much better and evolved fighter then Royce is, simple as that. Basically everyone who knew anything knew that Matt would win. Maybe not that convincingly but they knew he would win.

is mat hughes stronger than kimo? cuz gracie didnt let himself get manhandled by a 250 pounder but didnt stand a chance with a 170 pounder but then again royce is not 28 years old anymore

I'm a huge Royce Gracie fan ,but in a way he did kinda get manhandled by kimo he gave up his back in that fight and if kimo was a little more experienced he would've choked royce out.

seriously obviously thats wat aikido brings to the game. Royce is not that great of a submission wrestler. Kimo the same guy who was just learning BJJ when Royce struggled wit him, got submitted wit ease by Minowa. Royce is not even much of a competitor.

and then ok how did a 3rd drgree black belt in Renzo lose to Popovitch a brown belt. BJJ isnt submission wrestling, its close but its so different. and in MMA when theres no gi its even further from bjj. Hughes is the much better grappler. he actually competed in ADCC, while Royce was still fighting every yr or so against hand-picked opponents. He prolly even got outgrappled by the smaller Tokoro

Look I'm new to this fourm but I was watching the Hughes Gracie special on Spike Friday night and saw Gracie run his mouth the whole show. I'm glad that Matt shut him up. Now I hear everyone saying George St. Pierre deserves a shot at Matt Hughes well quiet frankly I'm tired of seeing him to why not give someone like Diego a shot. I know he would lose but it would give him a moral boost for the future.
