Chuck wins by KO late in the first round.

What has Chuck done? Tell me. Liddell is a great fighter, but he's getting older. His last match was against a even older Randy Couture. Who retired after the match, he was on a real upturn before he faught Chuck. Before that he faught Jermey Horn, now Horn is a good fighter, but when was the last time you heard of Horn since then. Then before that he faught Randy again, so where has Liddell proven himself? I saw those matches and he was good, but he wasn't some great champ? Liddell is on the way out and Renato will help him out the door. There seems to be this Idea that Liddell is GOD, but really he's Dana's boy, plain and simple. Liddell will prove me right next weekend, and next week we all will be on here arguing about why Chuck shouldn't have lost, or why he will win it back. Same old story, Liddell will never die! right?

If you are so sure babalu will win, lets make a wager on the fight. If Babalu wins, I will post a thread stating how I was a complete idiot for believing Chuck would win. If (and when) Chuck wins, you post a thread explaining what rehab you have entered to help you get off the drugs that impaired your ability to think clearly. hehe. Thats fair enough huh???

Honestly I don't even think Sobral should have a title shot at this point(IMHO), they are trying to hype the fight... saying hes won 10 straitght fights... Thats Great and all but only 1 of those 10 fighters are anything to comment on and that was a dec. win over Horn back in 2003! Sobral no doubt lives up to his record, pretty much beating any stand up fighters...which if it was Liddell from around 2000 he might still have a shot, but Liddell has improved his ground game enough to fend off top submission masters. Just like everyone already knows if Sobral cant get him to the mat earlier and tire him out with constant ground attack, he will become a two time loser. Your right... he wont leave himself open for head kick this time.... but he can't avoid that right hand all night .... Sobral is win Number 19 for Liddell

Babalu looked pretty bad in his fight against Sonnen last year, he was eating a lot of shots....yes he was able to pull off the submission, but until that point he didn't look impressive in the least

The guy has won 10 straight , He beat shogun in japan forrent griffen was there that night and he siad sobral is unreal how good he is the guy beat 3 guys that night to win the tournmant horn and shogun in the same night let chuck try that after his jeremy horn fight put shogun in front of him goodnight chuck !!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was the other way around that night shogun then Horn but no biggie, people forgot he beat Prangley that night as well , say what you want but 10 fights ina row has alot of momentum.....I find it crazy that Chuck has another title defense setup for after he fights Babalu..... I think Chuck has the best chance to win don't get me wrong but to count Babalu out so early is stupid ... persomally I think if anyone can stop Chuck right now it will be Sobral

Babalu is really the only one I see in the UFC in the LHW division right now that COULD beat Chuck. All I'm trying to say is that saying Babalu would definitely win is hard to say when Chuck has already knocked him out once. Babalu has gotten better though but I think Chuck hasn't lost anything since the last fight. If babalu can't get chuck to the ground, there is really no chance for a win. And, Chucks takedown defense is excellent. Babalu is deserving of the title shot, no doubt. I just don't think he will win. I'm waiting on Vera to drop down and fight Chuck. That would be a moneymaker right there!

now dont get me wrong i think babalu has a hell of a chance coming into this fight hes good damn good but for everyone to say he went the distance with fedor he can beat chuck is crazy because he was koed by chuck after he fought fedor so he has already lost to chuck once now i know it was a pretty lucky head kick but like i said in another thread if i was chuck i know babalu's coming in looking ot take me down wait til he comes then kick his head off again

I think this fight is like 65 / 35 in favor of Liddell, but does this fight seem at all like when Rocky lost to Clubber Lang in Rocky III? Bare with me...

It just seems like Chuck is making appearences (commercials, Blade, etc...) and he hasn't fought for a while. Then they go and schedule a fight after his current fight because they're that sure he can win... It just seems like he's happy and content where he is, and with all this other shit going on (coupled with his increasing years) he might not be improving, which is something he has to do... All the while Babulu is piling up wins and tapping people out all over the place.

It seems like an upset in the making, but as I said if I had to bet (which i wouldn't) I'd take Chuck. However, if Chuck fought Thunderlips he'd get rocked.

I know you are talking to Dominus but I will take that bet. Since I have no intention of letting go of my Flintstone chewable vitamins I will not post a thread about getting off of drugs but if Liddell wins I will make a thread stating that Chuck is the man and Babalu is his bitch.

All in good natured fun of course. How does that sound?
