| Tito Ortiz v. Wanderlei Silva?
Tito Ortiz v. Wanderlei Silva?
October 01, 2007 By: Adam Morgan Category: Wanderlei Silva, Rashad Evans, Tito Ortiz
According to Fightlinker, Tito Ortiz made an appearance at Little Creek Casino in Shelton, WA this past weekend and got on the microphone to tell everyone that his next fight is against either Rashad Evans or Wanderlei Silva.
A fight against Wanderlei Silva doesn’t make a whole lot of sense right now, so I’m assuming it’s Tito doing what he does best: talking shit.
At this point, you can’t take anything that comes out of Tito’s mouth all that seriously. My guess is this will remain a rumor and nothing more. The UFC has unsettled business to finish between Ortiz and Evans and I just don’t see them putting Ortiz into a matchup with someone like Wanderlei Silva until he gets past Evans.
On the contrary, however, a matchup between Ortiz and Silva would be a interesting rematch from a previous fight in the UFC where Ortiz came out on top. Like I said, if Ortiz gets past Evans, look for someone like Wanderlei to be his next opponent.

it's already been posted that the next tito ortiz fight will indeed be a rematch against Reshad Evans in one of the upcoming UFC events. Wanderlei on the other hand still has no definite opponent. Drama White is shitting his pants as his golden plans of liddel vs silva and so on are falling through.

Tito has to get past Rashad if he wants a shot at facing Wandy again.
I still say that Liddell vs. Wandy makes more sense than ever at this point.

Chuck should be Wand's 1st fight in the UFC, no doubt about it.

everybody should stop saying chuck should be wands opponent because im VERY sure the ufc wants to protect chuck and dont want to take a risk with wandy beating him

Its not a matter of the UFC protecting chuck at this point I don't think. I believe its a matter of protecting two commodities. Two fighters with real value attached to their names are coming off of two straight losses. A third loss to either competitor could be hazardous to their mindset. Though they're in no danger of losing their contracts with the UFC its very conceivable that a third loss could drop ones motivation right off the map.
I think its much smarter that Liddell and Silva don't face eachother until each racks up one or two wins.

Thats an awesome idea actually....
-First and foremost, nobody wants to re-live Tito vs Rashad.
-Tito is a huge draw, and could possibly make more money than Liddell v Silva. -Wandy probably would love to rematch Tito.
-Wandy would get an easy win (which his ego probably needs bad)
