Oct. 28th HERO'S KOREA event formally unveiled + HERO'S Slovenia?

Not sure what to make of the Slovenia part.

Today it was announced that at the Hero’s Korea event on October 28th Yoshihiro Akiyama will finally make his return to the ring and Denis Kang will make his Hero’s debut.

Other names on the card include Yoon Dong Sik who is looking to increase his winning streak to three wins, Kin Taiei who returns from his win over Kiyoshi Tamura, Kim Tae Hyun and Min Soo Kim whose last MMA fight was a loss against Brock Lesnar but who defeated Randy Kim in a K-1 fight this past Saturday.

Update: Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos will also be fighting on the card according to an MMAWeekly interview with Rafael Cordeiro of Chute Boxe:

I have no idea what that Hero’s Slovenia thing is but we will have to wait and see.

Cyborg is going to fight 2 times before the year is up.. hope he is doing a lot of training.

Cool, sounds like a decent card, pity it wasnt in Japan so we could see what the Japanese reception for Akiyama would be like, im guessing they've gotten over the whole Saku situation by now.

October In Korea
Hero' in Slovenia
December Cage Rage

This is a lot for any fighter.

Also Slovenia doesn't make much sense to me - it is very small country and as far as I know MMA is not that much popular over there. It would make much more sense to hold the event in Holland or UK.

I find the Slovenia part confusing, though I admit I possess less than an encyclopedic knowledge of the country and it's business outlets.

Looks like a pretty decent card. I'll be glad to see Kang fight.

I cant wait to see Akiyama and Kang. It is BS how they kept Akiyama out for so long. There were more than one occasion when I thought Pride was rigging Saku's fights. In any case, I guess this worked out perfectly for Kang as K-1 is holding another event in Korea.
