Tom by armbomb....Seriously though Kongo beat Cro Cop however he has no ground game to speak of at all. I know he has been training w/ Rampages Camp however Big Nog is scary on the ground, and Couture would rape him.
Nog v. Couture would be awesome. I think Nog could handle it on the feet, but have problems defending the clinch and the trip td. I dont think Nog has the power to KO Randy though, so he would have to look for a sub.
Vera v. Tim will be a war and that winner should be considered a top contender. Vera although coming off a major lay off period, does possess a impressive unbeaten record and serious Thai and BJJ skills, and I think the transition from clinch to td will be the difference maker(so long as he can avoid the nefarious Death by Jab technique) for Vera who has really good roman greco. However I dont think Vera has the ability to stay on his gameplan against Couture and would be taught the difference 20 years of thrown people around will do.
Lastly there is Arlovski who has consistently performed w/ the best the UFC can through at him(his kryptonite is a 3 ft Death by Jab technique).



And I guess if Tim wins....... well fuck him and everyone that looks like him

here is how i see things. Top Contenders right now not in order

Mirko - yeah he is still a contender
Herring - not a top contender but is fun to watch.

Nog vs Kongo

Vera vs Tim

AA vs ?

Since Vera vs Tim is so soon, i would say if Vera wins he will get the next title shot seeing how he will def be ready by Feb, but Vera said he wants to fight more so that might be out.

Tim if he wins I really don't see him getting a title shot because they wanted the title off him.

Nog Kongo is in dec or jan so that winner odds are won't get a title shot seeing they want Randy fighting in Feb.

AA vs whoever if he wins he should get a title shot. specially if its Gabe, because that would be 2 top 10 fighters back to back.

Gabe if he don't fight AA i would like to see him against Herring. Herring has good stand up a decent ground game so he would be a good fight for Gabe.

so bottom line is depending on when AA fights he is prob front runner if he wins.

So here it is in order

AA if he wins his next fight within a month or 2
Vera if he beats Tim
Nog/Kongo because of when the fight takes place neither will be ready by Feb specially seeing if the fight happens in Jan.
