| Josh Koscheck to fight in early 2008 Quote:
welterweight stand out Josh Koscheck won’t return to action until sometime in early 2008 (January or February) UFCmania.com (www.UFCmania.com) learned today.
The four-time NCAA Division I wrestling All American was penciled in to fight at UFC 79 on December 29. However, he was informed earlier this week that plans had changed.
“I’m no longer fighting in December,” Koscheck told UFCmania.com this afternoon. “Now I’m told to be ready for January or February of next year.”
Pressed for a potential opponent “Kos” indicated that he has not been approached with any specific names.
He did say, however, “I’ll fight anyone. I want to fight the best guys at 170. The loss to Georges St. Pierre taught me a lot. I told [UFC President] Dana White before I even got into the lockeroom after that bout that I’d fight the next week if he’d let me. I’m itching to get back.”
Koscheck, of course, dropped a unanimous decision to St. Pierre at UFC 74: “Respect” back in August. “Rush” is now poised for a title shot against the winner of Matt Serra and Matt Hughes on New Year’s Eve weekend.
We’ll post the entire interview with Koscheck later on this weekend — he’s got some interesting things to say about his loss to St. Pierre, his future with the UFC (he’s finally completed his nine-fight obligation on The Ultimate Fighter contract from three years ago) and much more.
Stay tuned. | link http://ufcmania.com/2007/10/06/josh-...008-exclusive/

Right on. I've always liked Kos, aside from the whole attitude deal. I hope he uses this time period to train hard and come back mentally maturer and focused. Top dog someday.

i may dislike his personality at times but he's a very good fighter and a strength to the welterweight division. i'd like to see the terms of his new contract.

Much more respect for Kos after the GSP fight. He is still relatively new to the sport. He will be back without a doubt.
I think theres a big possibility he will fight fitch or maybe even marcus davis

Kos vs Fitch will never happen. I bet Kos gets the loser of the Serra Hughes fight

I would really like to see Kos against Karo or Matt Hughes. Him and Fitch would be a great fight to but will never happen

| Perfect Opponent 4 KOS
I'd love 2 C Kos get a rematch w/ Drew Fickett,so he could avenge that embarrassing loss.He had that fight in the bag & he let it slip away. This would B an excellent tune-up fight for him + I'd kinda like 2 C Fickett get his ass spanked 4 his little celebration that he performed after he choked Kos out(RNC) in that fight!(He used his hands as if they were a pillow & imitated Kos going to sleep as he(Fickett)fell 2 the ground, pretending 2 go nighty night)
