| Elite XC Negotiating To Put On Slice-Abbott Fight Quote:
The Slice-Abbott fight may still happen according to multiple sources including thewrestlingobserver.com.
Three different promotions have put in bids to win the right to put on the event, with an unnamed group seeming to have an edge according to sources close to the negotiations.
According to sources, the Palace Fighting Championships and Elite XC are the two other groups currently in negotiations for the fight. PFC has a show on 10/18 in Lemoore, CA, and Elite XC has its next event scheduled for 11/10. | link http://mmafightline.com./news/2007/1...c_304550.shtml

| Only if Tank Wins
Y is everybody so worried about this B level fight? The only way this fight actually amounts 2 N E thing is if ole' Tank pulls it off.Other than that,it will prove nothing @all about Kimbo buddy & his worth in the world of MMA.I doubt there R very many fans of MMA that really want 2 C Slice win.I'm pretty sure most R just hoping Tank reaches back in2 time 4 the power 2
KNOCK KIMBO THE FUCK OUT,but the chances of that happening R not 2 damn good. But what the Hell!!!! WAR TANK!!!! Does N E 1 no the odds 4 this fight,if it is 2 come off??????
Holy Shit!!!! I just looked @ Tank's record & I C that he's only won 1 fight in the last 9 years!!!! I didn't no he'd dropped off the map that damn far!!!! He's even a bigger underdog than I had imagined!!!

Honestly I dont care who wins, i kind of like both. I like tank because of his mentality, and his crazy KO power (though everything else is severly lacking), and i like Kimbo because he takes MMA seriously and trains with Bas.

He'll simply be outmuscled and like KEN says, choked out. Beating big has-been names just gets Kimbo pseudo-notoriety outside his internet following. Til he fights a legitimate MMA guy, he's a freakshow. (even if he is endorsed by my man Bas).

im a kimbo fan and a tank fan and there is no doubt that someone will be going to sleep in this one. it will be a slugfest for sure.
i think the reason everyone is so horny to make this happen is the name value and the attention it will bring to their company.

I would really like to see this fight. It would be corny and a spectacle, but in this case it would be just too interesting to ignore.
Its funny, I never really cared for Prides spectacle matches at the time, but in this case since its tailored toward a western perspective, I think I suddenly understand a little better how these things may have been so appealing to the Japanese fans.
Lol.
