Yea BJ was just the better fighter that night, no excuses. This really sucks that GSP can't fight (i know he tried his ass off to try and get it better to fight) but the only way the UFC could make it up was by putting Penn as the replacement and they did so good shit there. I think that Penn loss will still be lingering in Matt's mind. But Penn's conditioning isn't that great, so he better end it with another quick sub or ko because if it goes late Matt will beat on him while he's tired and 5 rounds is 6 mins longer than his GSP fight in which he looked exhausted after 3. I have no predicition for this fight yet.

I think BJ still has Matts number he is just to quick for Matt to think on the ground and Matts reactions arn't good enough. They are Wreslter reactions an that wont do against BJ it wil against most but not BJ. I mean really the guy went for a heel hook while someone was on his back. He will make a mistake and BJ WILL capitalize on it. Watch!

first we get shut down with chcuk and wandy...now GSP has to drop out of a match that many of us are anticipating as the best match of 2006
I just hope he recovers fast and we don't get another thing happen like karo parysian....He better get the next shot and it better be sooner rather than later

Yeah its sad to see my fellow Canadian get sidelined with an injury I am sure GSP would of beaten Matt Hughes and I am an even bigger Matt Hughes fan...I just was seening it as GSP's time, but when they said BJ will be fighting Hughes again it wasnt so bad...I cant wait to see Hughes ground pound the shit out of Penn and avenge that fluke of a loss.

it depends whether BJ comes with his A game. if he comes in-shape and focused, he wins. not focused like against GSP, but focused and hungry for the belt, conditioned and prepared. last time he tooled Hughes, but didnt come conditioned and couldnt finish early against GSP

damn I am speechless. I just hope the UFC does not screw GSP by not giving him another shot. Kinda of like they did with Karo. It should have been Hughes vs Karo not Hughes vs Gracie at UFC 60.
