UFC 61 Bitter Rivals?(Speculation) Now that they've announced that UFC 61 is going to be titled "Bitter Rivals" who do you think would fit the bill for the undercard to Ortiz/Shamrock & AA/Sylvia? Leban Vs Swick? |
I wouldn't do Leben-Swick yet. I'd go with the Leben-Koscheck II rematch. |

Leben - Swick would be nice, Swick would murder him I think |
I would like to see Bonnar-Griffen,but with Bonnar fighting in UFN I don't see him or Leben on the card.jmo |

Rich wouldn't fight Horn, they are buddies. |
Yeah, the point of this was to find "bitter rivals", but it's getting too nice in the UFC. I know there's v.little chances of these fights taking place, but fights like Sims Vs Kyle II is the type of thing I'd want to see on a show called Bitter Rivals. Some real hate fuelled grudge fights! Bobby Southworth Vs Chris Leban would be good, although I agree with Leban doing UFN it would never take place (Southworth should have no problems cutting weight to 185, he easily did it for the TUF 205lb fight with Sincaid!!!) Strange how Chris' name always comes to mind when you're thinking of grundge matches?!?!? |
I was thinking of smaller grudge matches, since they already have Arlovski-Sylvia III and Shamrock-Ortiz II. Any grudge match that's bigger than those two won't be added, otherwise I'd have thrown out shit like Hughes-Penn II, etc. Leben-Swick is a big one, I wouldn't waste it on a show where it'd be "just another grudge match" and even in that category probably the smallest grudge match and the least important. It'd be way over shadowed by the two main events. I forgot about Koscheck dropping down to 170, with all these new guys and mostly TUF guys fighting each other, I have trouble keeping up with who fights where. Sanchez, Florian, Koscheck, Stevenson, Evans, everyone from TUF seems to change weight classes once the show is over. |
Heh. Too bad we can't see Coleman vs. Wanderlei Silva on this one. I can't wait to see that one. |
