CFZ's Seth Petruzelli vs Matt Hamill Oct 10th
 

Well since this was aired out on another website might as well put it here and talk about it now. Seth is fighting Matt on the UFN 7 show October 10th. Let's hope it's on tv and not an undercard fight. I will probably try and be there obviously but just in case i hope they put it on plus so everyone here can watch.

My thoughts real quick. Seth is by far the superior and better all around fighter. I feel his only real weakness comes from his cardio but i'm hoping it's better now that he's fighting at 205lbs and not Heavyweight. Matt obviously has the big advantage in wrestling but Seth is no stranger to wrestling himself plus he has some good help in his training camp that i'm sure he'll talk about. I was expecting Matt's standup to be way better than it was on tuf 3 when he fought Jesse at the finale but it wasn't. His standup was horrible on tuf against Nickles and it was bad when he fought Jesse. If he hasn't improved A LOT, Seth could easily end this fight with a KO/TKO. Matt's stamina is also in question as it didn't look all that good yet. So Seth might be ok there which means bad news for Matt. If Matt takes him down then he's going to have to defend against submissions as Seth is also versed in BJJ and has been dying to end a fight with one because he never gets to show it. I like Matt but i don't see him winning this fight at all and i'm not speaking as a bias person (though i'll be rooting for Seth obviously), i truly feel this is a bad matchup for Matt right now in his career. A lot of you probably haven't seen a lot of Seth's fights outside of tuf 2 but if you have most will probably agree with my assessment of this fight. Thoughts?

should be a good fight..hamill tends to leave his hands down and his chin out just waiting for someone to hit it

Was Seth the guy that quit on the first week of season 2?

Nah...Seth is the guy who had some impressive kicks. :grinsmile1:

i hope matt wins this one only because i believe that he could rise up the ranks one day as a dominant fighter.if he loses, its back to the drawing board for him.

I'm glad they're giving Hamill a good fighter.Seth is way better than Hamill and should be able to finish this fight.

Always fun to watch Seth fight, especially since he throws a lot of interesting kicks. If Matt hasnt improved a lot since his last fight, and he tries to stand with Seth, then I dont see this fight lasting past the half way mark of the fight round.

keep in mind boys that if matt takes seth down it might be all she wrote especially when he has 2 healthy arms and hands to use.guys got incredible power.

But he fears submissions and Seth does have jj. I like both guys and i wasn't happy about this being made but i still want Seth to win.

ill be cheering for Matt even though I think Seth wins this one, I like both fighters.. Seth was tough in TUF 2 always takin on the bigger fighters, I think hes gonna be too much for Matt right now whos still got a long ways to go.
