i think he's perfect for 185 and shouldnt move...
frankly Silva is the only opponent in his way right now... his best bet is probably to just wait until Silva loses and work on his own game... some muay thai would help

Switching camps should be his next move.

Ummm this is a totally different situation than Shamrock, who lost to Tito twice in a row, and other losses in between the first fight with Tito one of which was to Franklin. Shamrock should have retired after the first lost to Tito, Frankiln has some good wins in between his losses to Silva, Shamrock only beat an old Kimo. Franklin is trying to get the belt, Shamrock was just trying to get paid and satisfy a personal grudge with Tito/help market TUF. You can even see it if you read his lips after the thrid tito fight when they were squashing the beef he said "we both made a lot of money" Franklin is still the 2nd/3rd best MW in the UFC it just seems like that silva has his number and the difference between 1st and 2nd is a big one.

I fully agree with you. That definitely should be his first move and then evaluate when he is physically and then decide if a weight class change would be good for him, even though I wouldn't like to see the MW division get any thinner in the UFC. I just really haven't seen much improvement in Rich since he lost the title.

Franklin's best chances are where he already is at MW. It sucks for him since Anderson Silva doesnt appear to be going anywhere. This is the same thing that is going to happen with anyoone else in the division as well IMO. So what is Rich to do?? I guess just keep on fighting and win matches but I just wonder how many times they will book a Rich Franklin vs A Silva. I wouldnt mind seeing Rich try his hand at LHW though, he doesnt really have shit to lose. I'm not saying he should take on the likes of Rampage but maybe a Rich vs Tito or a Rich vs Forrest even.

When it's all said and done, Rich is going to have to wait until Anderson Silva is dethroned to get the belt back around his waist. It is either that or try a different MMA org.

I agree with whoever said that Rich should train with Anderson Silva. He'd learn a ton and definitely become a much better fighter.

If Sakuraba can train with Wanderlei after the fights they've had then I don't see why Rich can't train with Anderson. I'm sure Anderson would be as open to that as Wandy was with Sakuraba.

How about he works on his ground game so next time he challenges for the title he doesn't have to feel the need to stand up and bang with Silva.

It would one thing if franklin made a contest out of his two fights with Sylva but he got smashed both times so there's no way he can fight Sylva again. im a huge fan of rich but he has nothing left in 185.
