Hunt is the man. After watching him take that head kick flush from Crocop and come back at him was very impressive. Dana and his puppets need to get their thumb or whole hand out their azzes and sign him. Especially with Randys departure.

Mid tier is a man who isn't and never has been in the top 5 in the world, prolly not top in pride. (Fedor,CC, Nog and Barnett) His record is 5-3 against very good comp however two of his wins were split decisions, other 3 were guys that are below the last ranked guy in the UFC heavyweight division. CC and Shogun are relevant because you, like many others have said in the past and present and in the future that so and so would come into the UFC and take out everyone and be champ within a year or whatever the time frame may be. There are several guys that give Hunt match up probelms is what i am saying. The guys he has lost to are the ones who were able to stand with Hunt and take his hits and than beat him on the ground, the UFC as of right now has plently of guys that have good enough chins to take Hunts hits and than beat him on the ground. Werdums striking isn't as bad as many peoples believe and if he took Hunt down it'd eventually lead to Werdum subbing him. Nog would sub him with ease and Gonzaga with the striking could stand with Hunt and if he was losing the exchanges he could than take Hunt down and sub him also.

I am not a Hunt hater and he'd provide good fights for CC, Sylvia, AA and Kongo and Vera but him against the UFC right now wouldn;t work out like you think. And the more and more i think about it maybe thats why Dana doesn't know what to do with him, bring him in and give him a big contract for a guy who could end up 2-2 or 1-3 against the UFC comp.

He'd provide a good fight for Kongo and Vera? he'd smash there faces in, hes a K-1 multi-time champion that still fights like a K-1 multi-time champion (unlike CC, whos never won a GP in K-1).. Vera got his ass smoked on the feet vs Sylvia, he wouldnt stand a chance vs a grade-A Hunt on the feet. Neither would Tim Sylvia, Mark Hunt does everything Tim Sylvia does in terms of striking, only better with more power, and even speed. Cro-cop? he already beat him. AA would be his hardest fight on the feet, AA is the only guy who edges Hunt physically, but not technically.. still would pose a problem.

i agree man hunt would be a big prob to alot of guys in the HW division.
AA chin is in trouble vs hunt,GG i'm still not sold on this guy like most are.he has one win vs good comp,other then that he has not done alot.timmy and vera well afro said it best.

I love watching Hunt fight. He has the best chin in MMA. Hunt has always been heavy but never really gassed in a fight. If he could get down to 260 and get his cardio up a bit he could be a huge force in the UFC. For not really being in MMA that long his sub defense is really good. I cant wait to watch Hunt KO so people.
