| Mark Hunt...
it's known that ufc got hunt during the pride buy out.. but why is the ufc still trying to decide what to do with him? is there some kind of problem with the negotiation? or does hunt not even want to fight for the ufc? doesn't make too much sense.

It has to do with his weight, as of right now he's too heavy.

He did before, but who knows? Some guys have weight problems, and Hunt has always been a heavy guy. He could very well be having problems making the 265 limit.

Yea, he has made the UFC weight in Pride once or twice i think and a good few times in K-1, about 260.
He must be back up to about 280 right now and they just cant do anything with him while he takes off the weight, maybe he is waiting to make sure he gets a nice contract before he bothers to make weight, especially now with Randys absence and the fact that Mark would be a new exciting fighter for the division.

ok so i know rules are rules, but does it really matter?? It is the heavy weight division.. So your gonna keep him off tv, and not fighting because hes 10 or 15 pounds over?? I think its silly..

It has nothing to do with the UFC keeping him out. It has everything to do with the athletic commissions and the approved weight classes. If the UFC tried to put on a fight with say Brandon Vera (220lbs) against someone at 280-290 lbs, they would likely not be permitted to do it.
That is one example, but essentially it wouldn't work no matter who they picked. As long as he is outside of the accepted weight class, he can't fight. Regardless of what the UFC wants.

Hell, for that matter, what do think Sylvias fight time weight was against vera? He was 260 weighing in , so i bet he was a good 275 by fight time.. I see what your saying though..
