Does anyone have a problem with the stoppage?

Im not tryna defend Babalu, he got dominated no question about it but does anyone have a problem with the stoppage? I just saw the fight and my copy wasnt real clear on what happened after the stoppage.. and I do understand that if you turn your body it should be stopped but, still does anyone think thats being too caucious? I believe that he could still fight and thats just my personal belief that if he is still very capable of fighting it should go on and it appeared that way from what I saw, I mean yes he turned his back.. bad move but he could of stood up or he could of gotten knocked out I think the fight was stopped before any of those happened JMO, but he still got beat fair and square no problem with that.. I just think the refs are takin it too easy on the fighters I think they can take a lot more punishment then there given credit for.

The stoppage happened exactly when it should have. Babalu didn't even know where the hell Chuck was, that's why he started grappling with Big John. Not to say that I wasn't disappointed in how short the fight was.

Yea he was pretty much out of it. I actually thought if it was another ref it would've been stopped sooner. That was a real good job by John, he gave Babalu a chance to work on the ground but he wasn't doing anything but getting tagged and when he turned his back Chuck would've creamed him with some hard punches as he tried to get up and seeing how long the docs were attending to Babalu makes me think it was a good stoppage too plus he definately didn't complain.

I didn't catch it until i seen the replay, he grabbed John's leg and thought he was Chuck and tried rolling him over but landed up getting mounted by John. lol

lol ahh man I feel bad for Babalu he must be embarrased about that.

Poor guy, hope he doesnt get the Loiseau treatment because of that though.

good stoppage as usual by Big John. It's too bad Sobral tried to push the action and chase Chuck...it would be interesting to know what his game plan was like going in because honestly, it the fight looked just like Couture and Liddell when Randy tried to chase Chuck.

ya can someone please explain to me, why do these grapplers feel they should stand up with chuck?

Randy was the worst one cuz he could takedown Chuck, and even in the 3rd fight he sucessfully took him down and still stood with him.

I know Chucks got great standup D but still a ground fighter would fair better trying to take him down then to stand up with him.
