What I do love is that it is a sport that continues to work on further legitimizing itself. It is a sport that has far too many intangibles to bet or guess on. Example: Despite the fact that Royce Gracie was out matched by matt Hughes, you just never knew what could happen in the fight.

What I do not like about it is the fact that finishes can be questioned far too often. The judging still needs tweaked in certain areas, which I feel is out of the hands of the UFC. Another problem is when referees call the fight too earl when it appears someone has been rocked by a punch. When these two things can get tweaked to perfection, this sport will be one of the most popular in the country.

I love being able to see what Martial Arts is all about. None of the phony showmanship style of martial arts that looks good in movies but would never work in a real fight.

I love the flying knees, spinning back fists, the ground game, picking up your opponent and slamming him, the strategy of a fight, the athleticism. I love that there isn't another single sport in the world as exciting as an MMA fight with 2 talented fighters going toe-to-toe.

MMa is the most honest thing you'll ever watch on your TV.

I love all the possibilities and unexpectedness of an MMA fight. In boxing there's not many options, good boxing match, good brawl, boring boxing match, sloppy-ugly brawl. MMA has so many different things that can happen, like who ever thought you'd see an entire round with someone having standing back control in the UFC? So much shit can go down in an MMA fight, and that's just in terms of ways of fighting or winning. The unpredicitability in terms of who wins, like dude pointed out - is much more in MMA than boxing. In boxing if someone is clearly overmatched all they have is a puncher's chance. In MMA, ANYTHING can happen and it's been proved 100,000 times in the short history of the sport. Those are the main things I like about the general sport of MMA.

While im still a boxing guy, I love MMA because you grew up watchin all these superheroes and action heroes, etc and MMA is like those guys come to life in a way.. there fighters and I love that about it, you can do whatever your capable of in that ring or octagon.
