| Babalu vs. Forrest Griffen
ok, who here thinks this would be a good fight? Forrest is climbing up the ladder now, and Babalu now has to start over. so this fight would make sense. Forrest wants to fight Tito again, but Tito will be tied up with Shamrock and Chuck over the next few months, so Tito/Forrest II will only happen if Tito loses to Shamrock, and thats not gunna happen. So i say have Babalu vs. Forrest at UFC 65 or 66...what you guys think?

Sounds pretty good to me.. Although if Babalu lost to Forrest in his next fight that would prolly be all she wrote for him in the UFC. Personally i would like to see Babalu/Tito, heard that Tito made the comment that Babalu couldnt last 2 rounds with him (think it may have been on Bubba the lovesponge's radio show yesterday not sure) Also it would be an incredible ground war and would give Tito a chance to actually EARN a title shot. This in all likelyhood will not happen because of Tito/Shammy and wit Wand/Chuck falling through i guess dana has to throw Tito to the wolves earlier then he wanted. But yea i think Babalu/Forrest would be a pretty entertaining fight, depending on how Sobral bounces back from last night. I would prolly say Babalu by Sub in the 2nd, then again he may never recover from a preformance like that in the biggest fight of his life.

Yeah it would be a hell of a good fight......I just think Forrest isn't Quite ready yet...give him another fight, then have him and Babalu go at it.

Honestly I don't know how you can consider a win over Bonnar "climbing the ladder". Bonnar sucks, I have been saying this from the very beginning when he was unable to finish Hogar after he had the mount several times.
If you stop and really think, every one of his fights have been very sloppy. His fight with Forrest the first time was sloppy, Hogar, Jardine (robbed of the win), Rashad and then Forrest again.
I really don't see UFC keeping Bonnar once his contract is up. He has the size and heart but the skill is certainly lacking and I credit that completely (as Couture said) to his lack of quality training. He is training in the same camp that he was when he came onto TUF1 whereas Forrest has spent some money to train with world class trainers and learn.
I don't know if UFC pays for the trainers or not but if they do, all the more reason to surround yourself with better trainers, if they do not, you must look at it from a business perspective and pony up some money to better secure your future by improving as a fighter and earning a bigger pay check.
