There is an internet buzz about Silva and Franklin, but after last night, there is also a huge internet buzz about Kongo and if he is going to fight Tim for the belt. There was a huge buzz about Silva because he knocked Leban out quickly. Well now there is a huge buzz after Kongo knocked out Christian Wellisch relatively quick as well.

The buzz about silva started with Rogan and then shitloads of little polls popped up. But in reality, Silva beat a mid card fighter that doesnt belong on PPVs and has never been on a UFC PPV. I dont agree with it but honestly, who else are they going to put against Franklin right now. Who exactly is Christian Wellisch? He's a fighter that had his first UFC fight last night and who's now 2 - 2 for his last 4 fights. Kongo will fight Mir next, and Monson will get his title shot.

The UFC might make a surprising match, but Kongo still has a very impressive MMA record.

Just about everybody who watched the fight last night was buzzing about the Kongo fight and his performance. The UFC willadd more buzz just to say it has incredible fighters. As far as Kongo fighting for the belt, I think it's possible, I'm not saying it's going to happen, hands down.

I'm not sure, but nobody is going to put a guy against chump after chump if he continues to win, they're going to put him against better guys each time.

The guy he beat last night was suppose to lose...and he lost. It wasnt a surprise. I honestly think the UFC should develop some kind of official standing or ladder just so everyone is clear where the fighters stand in the organization. It's great to see fights that you want to see, but these are real people trying to make a real living. And whether any one agrees if Monson has a chance or not, is not the point. Monson won his last 16 fights. He deserves a chance regardless of what anyone says. And, according to Tim's post fight interview the last time he fought, he agrees.

Nobody is suppose to lose in the UFC, this isn't the wwe, anything can happen in the Octagon. His MMA record is 18-2-1. That's what is impressive, sure he's beaten a couple chumps, but so has every other experienced fighter.
