why after one lost and a very unimpressive win...I know he was champ before...but he can't just waltz in like a fat slob and expect to be handed the shit
and you forgot monson...unless you meant after monson gets his shot

Yea Monson put in his time and got his wins. He should be up next. But, given the lay out for the upcoming cards, it doesnt look like Tim will be fighting again for awhile. You can probably just take A.A (please dont subject us to a 4th fight) and Mir from the list. And Kongo just had his second UFC fight. He needs at least one more, but more likely 2 before a title shot.

Kongo is eligible for a title shot. Anderson Silva was in just one fight (kicked the shit out of Leban) and has a title shot against Franklin at UFC 64.

People want to see Silva fight Franklin because they're both strikers so the UFC is pandering to that, plain and simple.
