chuck, tito or sobral vs. rich would be interesting, but if u can make a weight class then u should do it. he makes it happen. he only has 4% bodyfat that is why he able to make mw even with his muscle. he earns it, and he wouldnt be able to contend with top lhw. he would be great in lhw but wouldnt strive like he does at mw.

I think it's just lack of competition (it is for me at least as I have hated on him plenty), he has the skills but has a very suspect chin so if does not find a way to strengthen his chin when he fights a striker of A. Silva's calibre and wants to stand and bang it will probably be lights out.

I think Franklin takes the fight to the ground but would love to see him stand and exchange with A. Silva.

It is really a huge opportunity for Silva as he has gained some attention after dissmantling the undefeated Leben in under a minute and not being hit with a single strike so if he is able to beat Frankin his career is going to soar and this is something he would not have been able to accomplish in Pride with their division's top 4-5 being so damn good.

I am pulling for A. Silva but win or lose I would really like to see the fight stay on the feet adn these guys go to war.

For sure, the chin would not hold out for him. I think he would KO a bunch of people in that division but would never stand a chance against Chuck. If only Franklin had an iron chin I think he would actually have stayed at LHW.

Great fighter nonetheless and always gives us exciting fights.

wtf? rich franklin is definately a better striker than silva. hes fuckin 21-1. franklin will stand up the whole fight. only thing that spooks me about rich is that he will be coming back after his injury from louissea. but i see rich winning the fight.

he would plow through everbody but simpley could not compete with top lhw like chuck, randy, sobral,shogun,wand and the list goes on. he'd be able to beat the forrest griffins and everybody else that is somewhat successful in lhw but not the top fighters. but rich is a smart guy and i think that he will take the fight to the ground. he uses his standup to win cause it works but he knows how good of a striker that silva is and he isnt the type that is cocky and trys to show off, he will play it smart and probably submit him or gAp, but if he decides to stand he is a good striker but no on silva's level.

Not on Silva's level striking? Silva is great on his feet but Franklin is just as good if not better. Also, he will prepare for this fight like no other, did you see all access?? Rich will be ready for an absolute war and I don't think Silva is going to be able to handle the pressure Rich puts on him for 5 rounds.

I think Franklin will take it. From what I have seen, no body trains like Rich and he knows that this will be a very tough fight. He will train that much harder. Rich is a very smart guy....he knows what to do.

Everyone is high on Silva just because he annihilated Leben. Leben stepped right in on all those strikes and Silva had a significant reach advantage. Franklin is much bigger and smarter than Leben, who is a good fighter but will never reach the championship level pool. I see Rich standing for the first round, taking a few shots (nothing too substantial, just enough to let him know to take it to the ground), and pulling out a 3rd or 4th round TKO. It should be very entertaining, but I can't see Franklin losing. I'm pumped to see Swick vs. Louisao (sp?) at UFC 63!
