It's pretty strange to think Rich Frankland would be more comfortable taking it to the ground, but I see him doing it...

I see Rich trying to use alot of wrestling and gnp, but if they stand up Rich will get Ko'ed....And as for subs, i think Anderson has that covered, he is a black belt in bjj....

A lot of Anderson's losses have come to submission guys who just get him on the ground and sub him... Which is odd considering he has a black belt like you mentioned, but I think if Ace can get it to the ground he'll beat Silva, standing up I think it's pretty even, Franklin gets hated on a lot and I'm not entirely sure why.

I wouldn't just write Rich off. Yeah Anderson Silva is a bad ass striker, but Rich isn't just some dude off the street. We know Rich can be knocked out because that's what happened with his one loss. We know that Anderson can be beat as well. This is going to be one hell of a fight plain and simple. I enjoy Rich as a fighter and from what I have seen of Anderson I enjoy him as well so I am not picking a fighter.

I think he resently got his BJJ Black belt...and i thnkn he has one loss by a leg lock and 1 by a triangle choke, but this guy has beat Horn,Newton, just to say a couple...and has trained alot longer then ACEand with alot better trainers and partners

franlin can strike although its hard to tell if he in the same league as silva. he has improved in a short amount of time. however, if it goes to the ground rich is relentless. rich will come out victorious.

as much of a Franklin fan as i am...i see a New Middleweight Champion of the world being crowned in October. im not writing Rich off completely, but i just see it happening. i think Silva is a better striker then Loiseau was and Loiseau was way too beaten up to capitalize on his one opportunity he had at beating Rich with that sweet hook...i dont see that happening to Silva. if Silva connects, it's gunna be lights out for Rich. if Rich loses i think he should move back up to 205. i'd love to see him fight Chuck or Tito or even Babalu. Rich is just too big for 185, and it just bugs me to see guys that are too big for a weight class being dominant like that. he was huge next to Loiseau and Tanner and they are big middleweights!

anderson silva would waste rich on the feet has hard is that is to do, but a lot of people consiter rich just a stand up guy but is very good on the ground. he could use his standup in previous fights but he will prove how well rounded he is and why he is ufc middleweight champ. or he'll get cocky and try and standup and get ktfo.
