Maybe.....but IMO he really hasn't shown anything close to greatness yet. I think Evans will be one of those fighters that win a couple lose a couple, At best I say he'll be an average fighter....

hes only had 8 fights, hes got a lot of potential.. the smallest HW in TUF 2 and he won offa his standup mainly. He gameplans well.. the bonnar fight it woulda been real hard for him to beat Bonnar standing, Bonnar towers over him and Evans easily took it to the ground. Hes got good wrestling and standup, he just needs to keep improving.

I doubt there would be much interest in a 4th fight with Chuck. I think Randy should fight HW for his first comeback fight maybe against Bas (doubt that'll ever happen), and if he does good, then drop to lhw and fight Wandy!

Skill wise I think Evans is a little better than average (average being other non-contender MMA fighters). The problem is this guy just can't finish off a fight. Eight fights and eight decisions...thats kind of rough.

Excitment wise, this guy puts me to sleep. I really dread watching him in a fight. Excitement is what makes or breaks a fighter as far as public opinion goes. A perfect example of this is Tito Ortiz. I like watching him fight. Win, lose, or draw I am going to watch his fights. When Evans fights I go to the bathroom and get some more pizza and coke (which might explain my weight issue, but that is another story...)

ya some fights of his are boring but there are more boring fighters, I actually enjoy watching him fight because he is good and he can be exciting IE: Brad Imes fight.. he just has to improve, if he learned how to finish a fight he would be an exciting fighter cuz his wrestling is good, and hes got good standup.

I think the main difference is that those other fighters who have boring fights do not get the attention that he has received. Generally, if they are boring, most or all of the fights going to decision, or lack a personality to grab people they are going to be dropped.

To combat this I think the UFC should adopt the PRIDE tournament format. I really dig multiple month tournaments. This would eliminate a "crowd favorite" always getting a title shot instead of the best fighter.

true, but the guy showboated in his first fight on TUF which I thought was a good fight (dunno what Dana was thinkin) he didnt showboat once after Matt got on him about it.. but still him and Seth were damn entertaining being the smaller of the HWs and still being so dominate. The Brad Imes/Evans fight IMO was more entertaining then Bonnar/Griffin becuase it showcased a lot of skill not the ability to throw ur fists around and take a punch. I still believe the two best LHWs are Evans and Bisping.. right now I think Bisping is better but if they fought, Bispings achilles heel is wrestling so Evans would have a shot.. Pointon/Bisping.. Ross had him on the ground and was beatin him till Ross got submitted so Evans could take him to the ground and beat him but he'd definently need to learn how to finish fights if he wants to beat Bisping.

I think you're the one who thinks that.
