He also said something about not wanting to stay around in the MW division, because he and Franklin are friends and they would not fight each other. I think he may not have been that interested in being re-signed.

And he's your friend, you know he's not going to hold anything against you. You'd think they could put everything aside for 15-25 minutes and get business done.
