I'd say Vitor Belfort back in the day....I can't remeber if was his fight with Tank or Silva, but he came out like a house of fire, and Fuck were those hands fast.

belfort and baroni hands down.
its kinda weird to bring boxing into these punching topics, just like the strongest puncher, lets be honest all boxers do is punch as apposed to training a lot of differrent skills like mma fighters do, in a punching speed or power contest its obious who is going to win. a professional boxer would train 8 hours of boxing a day, a mma fighter would train like 4 hours tops on boxing and the other 4 on like wrestling and some ground work, or some kicks, elbows, or knees, and that is from a guy who would be consitered a boxer in mma like baroni who is consitered a boxing style but doesnt train nearly as much of just punching as a boxer would do.

Baroni has a wrestling background if im not mistaken, and Belfort has a BJJ background..... all boxers do is punch? its a lot deeper then just punching buddy!

what r u talking about i know that phil and vitor have different styles along with their boxing, that is my point, they have to focus on other points of fighting and not just boxing, as where as a posed to a boxer would just train boxing, u dont see many boxers training bjj and wrestling for no reason cause they need the time to train boxing.
what im trying to say is that top mma fighters like phil and vitor, when their style is boxing, they wouldnt be as good as opposed to a professional boxer cause all he trains is boxing as opposed to boxing and other things like bjj, wrestling and all other aspects of mma.
im trying to say that a mma fighter even like vitor or phil who r consitered boxers in mma couldnt compete with a professional boxer when it comes to hand speed and punching power because they have less time to train boxing as that boxer trains it all day. boxers train for boxing all day, where "boxers" in mma have to train for all other aspects of mma, thus not letting them get as much boxing time in as a professional boxer
and i know that boxers dont just punch, i was trying to say its basically chalanging a boxer at his own game when ur talking about strikes from punching like speed and power
does that make any since?
