GSP is awesome, but no doubt if is able to beat both Matts down the road, he should definitely fight Fitch. That fight would be crazy.

i think this is going to be a hell of a fight regardless of who wins. Serra is not in the league either of these two are in, either way the winner will destroy Serra. im still thinking Hughes is going to submit him. WAR HUGHES

WAR HUGHES | LOL, you actually think Hughes has a chance? Hughes isn't going to be able to take GSP down and I would love to see him try to stand with GSP again! GSP has many ways to win this, Hughes has 1, takedowns and GNP and we all know how that went last time. @ Hughes when he eats a kick to the face again! WAR GSP!!

I agree, it wouldn't have the luster and meaning that it would have had originally, but I'm at least curious to see the fight anyway. | I don't know what you mean about "luster and meaning," but maybe I'm choosing to reinterpret that as "drama and pettyness." I do agree that if Hughes loses, he should fight Serra before he retires, and your point about former champs, etc.
And for me, that's the only reason to have the fight in a legitimate organization. The season of TUF distracts from the actual reason to fight...ie, to see who is more skilled; and sets up a diversion about "he's an arrogant jerk/he runs his mouth too much..." that takes away from the sport as a whole.
If you asked a group of TUF watchers [with an even distribution of Hughes and Serra fans] why they should fight, less than half would answer "to see who is better." Most would either say "so X could kick Y's ass" or "because X is an asshole." That's not the way to build a sport based on honor and self discipline and endless hours of training. that's schoolyard pettiness.
So, ultimately, I hope GSP beats them both. I'm not a huge GSP fan, but it would bring the Serra/Hughes feud back into perspective and not blow it up like those drama-based reality shows with anorexic women from California.

Whether you love him or hate him, you have to respect the guy. He is 100% class and a great representative of the sport of MMA.
I think this will be a much closer match, in the end GSP will beat Hughes again though.
Oh, and Serra doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as these two... he got lucky and everyone knows it (except him for some reason).

rh | Yeah, maybe "luster" was a poor choice of words.
And GSP's going to beat them both, so hopefully this'll all be nipped in the bud soon enough.
