FYI whoever asked, Hansen's DSE contract came under Zuffa control at some point, but rather that let him work for whatever figure he had agreed to with DSE the Zuffa brass decided to leverage it against him and offer him a new deal well below the value of the old one. No wonder he is tiffed.

That's why MMA is not as exciting as it used to be.
With the way Zuffa is structured, it promotes lnp, point fighting, hesitant, reluctant and timid fighters whom, because of such low salaries, fight to not lose because the only way they can make a measly $30,000 per year is to win all 3 of their fights within a given year, and that's the base pay for MMA athletes hovering around mid-level. Basically MMA will continue to decline as far as excitement of fights until base pays are increased.
Point being, Joachim Hansen is not going to lay on someone for 3 rounds. I'd rather watch him fight than Tyson Griffin, Frankie Edgar, Huerta, Guida, Sherk, etc. lay on someone for 15-25 minutes. I can watch Olympic wre stling for that... call me crazy but when I watch mma, I'm expecting to watch MIXED martial arts, is that not the emphasis on the sports evolution over the past 14 years?

Kenflo would not beat Tyson. Tyson is the better striker, much much stronger, would take him down at will, pound on Kenny, Kenny isnt subbing Tyson. Only way Ken wins this fight is a cut.
The Robinson fight Kenny was lucky. Robinson took that fight on very short notice, he ever said after beating Jorge that he gassed in the Kenny fight. If anyone remembers that fight Alvin rocked kenny a few times then just shitted all over him self.

To everybody thinking he will get wrestled and laid on for 15 minutes apparently hasn't seen how quick he'll throw a knee on a shooting opponent. I think wrestlers play right into him, he'll pick them apart w/ strikes & wait for the shot (ala Franca v Sherk) to connect the knee. Hellboy has always been one of my favorites, and I think he could beat just about anybody at LW (Penn excluded), but he could also lose to plenty of people in (or out of) the LW Top 10.

To think he wouldn't stack up w/ most...... if not all of the UFC's LW's is crazy. Thats one guy none of the LW's would "Run" through. Especially Ken-Flo.

Hellboy would do just fine in the UFC. IMO he would give most of them a run for their money. there are so many potential match ups. The only person i see him getting "tooled" by is BJ. the rest of the fights would be a toss up.

I don't blame Hellboy for not signing up to fight gret fights and make peanuts doing it. With them pushing 4 or 5 of the other LWs, its doubtful the UFC would give him a serious chance to make a run at the title. He'd likely be mirred in the "Top 5" mix. ANd they'd keep him one fight away from a title shot until he actually lost.
I think the division would be better with him in it, but I don't see him winning a title.
