| Aleksander Emelianenko vs Sergei Kharitonov [September 10]
This is probably going to be one of the most entertaining fights in a very long time...well thats what im hoping. Been thinking about the outcome but i can't really come to a conclusion. Emelianenko has the much faster strikes in my opinion, but i just think Kharitonov has heavy hands like Vovchanchyn. His fight against Ninja Rua just proved that those body shots can really cause damage to your opponent. Im thinking this fight will be either a Decision or a KO. Both have great sambo backgrounds, but i can't picture one submitting the other. This can go either way, but if i had to bet on one of these guyz, i'd say Kharitonov.
what do you guyz think the outcome will be?
and by the way, here's the current Poll Result for the final four
1. Wanderlei Silva 539
2. Mirko Crocop 534
3. Josh Barnett 444
4. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira 352
my vote went for CroCop, but i really want to see Nog win.
EDIT: damn i forgot to make a poll.

Kharitonov VS A. Emelianenko is gonna be great.
Usually Kharitonov can handle any one, any size - but Emelianenko isn't your usual giant, he's got crazy hands and loves to stand and trade.
I don't think you can compare Kharitonov to Vovchanchyn though, Vovchancyn was more of a heavy-hands type of guy. Sergei is more technical, it's like he sees his opponent as target practice. And Sergei is always moving forward, always walking towards his opponent. Igor has little or no ground game, Sergei is great on the ground (Sambo).
I think Sergei can evade Emelianenko's attacks though, like CroCop, wait for him to gas a bit, and then work his magic. Still though, I'd say it's 51/49 in favor of Kharitonov, it could go either way.
My pick for the OWGP: Mirko - if he can work on his stamina and survive Wanderlei without injuries.
If not, I'd go with Nogueira, whom I love, but I don't wanna see him get beaten by Fedor for the 3rd or 4th time.

interesting fight, both have adermable sambo backrounds but then converted to favoring striking and both have proved that they can strike very good. very intersesting fight but id just have to go with alex with no explaination because it is too close to call but i like him better.

Someone is getting KO'ed and I think it will be Aleks, Sergie is going to continue to climb the Pride HW rankings and will likely be matched against one of the top 4 HW (Fedor, Nog, Cro Cop or Barnett) or possibly Hint or Werdun after this fight with Aleks.
