But orgs only allow it when it benefits them and this doesn't benefit the UFC nearly as much as it benefits M1. Plenty of orgs claim to allow it but they really only do when it benefits them.

He didn't give names but he still said he wanted to fight the champs of the UFC and elsewhere. I honestly doubt that he is perfectly content knowing that he is stuck fighting Hong Man Choi and Pedro Rizzo.

Kharitonov, Monson and Schilt don't do too much for me in a fight against Fedor. Especially Schilt since I highly doubt he has been improving his takedown defense much.

I'm also not sure that they would give him the Barnett fight, atleast not for a while. All offers are going to come through his management, who have an obvious vested interest in M1 succeeding (since they have crucial roles in it) and it's plans for success almost entirely hinge on Fedor. So to risk him losing is a big deal since they are expecting fighters to want to come find him to fight the #1 HW.
