This amounts to the unstoppable force going heads-up with the unstoppable force, and based on the improved skills of both men, especially GSP, this promises to be a great fight.
That being said, I think GSP will be able to use his superior stand-up and athleticism to keep Hughes off-balance away from his own strengths. Watch the leg kicks, I think they are going to be huge in this fight. Leg kicks could take either man out of his game, reducing the effectiveness of the shoot.
This should go 5 rounds in my opinion, but I think this really going to come down to the old cliche of who wants it more, and no one is hungrier than Georges St. Pierre. GSP by rear naked choke.

I can't see Hughes losing the belt right now, and not to GSP. MMA Math does not work so you can't necessarily compare GSP vs Trigg & Hughes vs Trigg to how the fight will go, here is a great example I've seen used before that proves MMA Math wrong.
Hughes beat Trigg 2 times
Trigg beat Hallman 2 times
Hallman beat Hughes 2 times
As I said, I can't see Hughes losing the title right now. I agree with most that GSP was winning their first fight until the sub, but the "dominance" in which he did it is a bit overrated IMO. Although the fight is a little foggy in my mind so I'd have to pull out my DVD to rewatch it for sure.

All valid point for Hughes... I just have to believe that GSP's only loss in his career has probably made him obsess with Hughes. Whever he was interviewed, he was begging for title shots. When he was interviewed on the extras portion of my Liddell vs Cotour 2 dvd he says something along the lines of "I never thought I would lose at the rate I was going, when he beat me, I became a different fighter."
I have to take GSP based on the fact that he has been stewing on his only loss, and has ran through everyone put in front of him since then. When you ask me about Hughes/GSP 3, I won't know what to tell you.

Probably some of the best laid out arguments i've seen for two fighters in a while... While I couldn't disagree with you more that GSP is stronger than Hughes, Samurai, I agree that GSP has the submission advantage without a doubt.
It's going to be a great fight no matter what and I'm really looking forward to it.

Somehow, I doubt Hughes is going to get a chance to slaw GSP. Think of any GSP fight you have ever seen, including the Hughes fight and tell me if he has ever been close to being in a situation where he was going to get slammed on his head.
It may not seem like it as of late, but Hughes is beatable, and GPS has exactly what it takes.
If you don't believe me, ask his friend BJ Penn.
He will tell you.

Hughes slammed him in the first fight, right???
Matt right now is so at the top of his game, I think GSP should wait longer for the rematch, 2 losses so quickly I think will hurt him. If he loses again he is probably 2 years away from another shot, assuming Matt still has the belt.
