The first time I saw it, a guy was pissing on somebody’s pillow and I thought it was pretty funny so I tried to watch it every chance I got….. I don’t really coach people. Most times I try to give my teammates and the people I train with a few pointers about what to do and what works for me and they don’t take my advice. I guess I’m not influential. I guess people don’t give a damn about what I’ve got to say about fighting…. I’m just trying to bring what I can bring to the show. (I’ll bring) my personality and hopefully act up a little bit.”

– UFC Light Heavyweight Champion “Rampage” Jackson comments via the Boston Herald about his upcoming stint as coach on season seven of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) mixed martial arts reality series on SpikeTV. He will coach middleweights opposite TUF alumni and number one ranked UFC 205-pound contender, Forrest Griffin. The show begins taping in January and is expected to debut in April 2008 with “new and exciting changes” to the original format.

i was just thinking the same thing. If I were a fighter on this season of TUF, i'd be torn between who's team i'd want to be on..Rampage is the champ and has awesome coaches in Juanito (MMA) and Jr. (BJJ), but Forrest is representin ATHENS, GA, and Xtreme Couture is on a winning streak in the UFC right now, so obviously Forrest is going to bring in some good coaches..im looking forward to this season. hopefully the UFC can aquire some raw talent in the MW division

It's going to be interesting to see who each of them have as their asst coaches. It would be funny if Forrest brought in Bonnar as an asst coach.

It actually wouldn't surprise me if forrest did bring in Bonnar as an assitant, considering the train together, and bonnar is a gracie bjj blackbelt, so he could do the ground training.

That's what I meant, it would be kinda kool that they are the ones who's fight put TUF on the map. It would be great to see them coaching new guys, that would have to be a big boost for them going through this experience.

While that would be awesome, I don't think either side (Randy or the UFC) would go for this.

Seeing as how Couture recently faxed in his resignation as a fighter/commentator/"ambassador", and turned down the official title defense with Big Nog I think that is a long-shot.

Dana is so bitter that he probably wouldn't allow it. The only way I see it happening would be if one felt they could somehow "get one over" on the other out of spite.

im sure Randy wont be one of Forrest's assistant coaches for several reasons. first one being the whole resignation thing. second being that im sure he's just too busy of a guy to do the job now. he didnt have Xtreme Couture back when he was a coach on TUF 1...now he has, what, like 4 or 5gyms to run nationwide? yeah, busy guy.

and im pretty sure Juanito will be Ramapge's head coach. those guys are gunna kick ass!
