What is the UFC thinking?
I mean like AA is a amazing fighter and he makes the heavyweight division all the better. Dana White I think right now is basing the last fight AA had and how it was less then exciting and he just bases that one fight. AA is a great contributor to the heavy weight division and is a fantasic fighter. I do see AA wanting more money could be a factor in one sense but he will sell tickets and will make great PPV cards.
But as we see with Dana White is that he focuses on one weight class for a long time instead of bulking up the all the UFC divisons. This is the reason why Randy Couture left because of a lack of competiveness in the Heavyweight Divison. Honestly who do you have in the heavyweight divison that is young and has a chance to be a champion. Cro Cop, Kongo, Vera, Sanchez, Sylvia, Gonzaga, Herring, Norguria. Come on this is a lack luster divison and a joke. I for one do not want to see Tim Sylvia on top of the heavyweight divison. AA bulks up the lack luster divison but does not make it amazing. This is why FE did not come to the ufc because he had one guy (Rand Couture) that could possibly beat him and what if FE did beat Randy then who does he fight Tim Sylvia? That would be a joke for FE and we know the out come. Cro Cop was probally the worst buy in UFC history. We all know that he is washed up and beating Eddie Sanchez was just a stepping stone.
So what we see is that Dana has other priorties in other divisons so right now we can see a lack luster heavy weight divison amd without AA is looks all the worst.

* loss to Sylvia
* Boring as hell loss to Sylvia
* Decent Fight against PDP (who isn't quite top competition)
* Boring win of Werdum (who is top competition) Quote:

| Lack of competition? There are 7 of the top 10 HWs in the UFC right now.

CC or AA would most likely have dominated (as other serious strikers have done in the past). The reasons for Coutures departure have been debated thoroughly (ad nauseum) in other threads.
Second, age has no factor in chance of becoming champion.
Third. Sweet Jeebus, you think that Nog, CC, Kongo, Gonzaga are lack luster? I just don't know where to start on this... in fact, I don't see any point in even discussing it.

this is just my opinion, but if ur a fighter who wants to make more money, then you need to show that you really want that money...by putting on good performances. and even in winning, AA just hasn't shown that. two lousy fights with Tim, pounding a can in Pe De Pano, and then that Werdum fight...he needs a solid and decisive win against a top guy. a fight with him and Vera or Nog could have done wonders for him.
