I'd pick Alves to win a Unanimous Decision. His striking is superior, he's strong as hell at WW, he's athletic, good ground work. Karo's only advantage is in the clinch in this fight.

I agree Alves would be a good fight for them both, I think Karo believes too much of his own hype, and yes, Fitch would fucking manhandle him.

If you watch the episode, you can see that Karo means what he says about MMA.. it isn't that they aren't tough or can't kick guys asses, it is just that he doesn't like watching women get hit.. and I understand his feelings..

Watch the episode, he says more, he ends it with something like.. "women are too beautiful to have their faces mangled like me. I like women too much to watch them get hit"

but I like women's MMA and think it is atheletic.. entertaining...and arousing... but seriously, I like it.

I could never stand to see my woman in pain, but I do respect female athletics and their right to compete. I actually used to watch the shit out of the old female kickboxing on ESPN2 and loved seeing it. Some of those chicks could kick like mules.

Karo is not given enough credit......everybody gives him credit except me and a few other people who think he's overrated. I've said that ever since I came to this site. I agree he's a dick, but that's not why I say he's overrated, I say he's overrated because he can't finish a fight. Fighting top comp you need to be able to finish fights or you will get finished, his transitions are too slow, and his striking is terrible.

Although I do like watching him dump people on their heads, that's the fucking shit!

But the amazing thing is that he is considered (by me.lol) one of the most exciting fighters in the sport today, yet he finished like 1 out of his last 9 fights.


Karo is a bad mother fucker.

I'm not saying he's scared by any means, these guys can't be professional fighters and be scared of anyone. However, you know when you compete in any sport who you can beat, and who's going to be able to beat you. He just wants his shot at a title before taking on stiff comp like Fitch, which is understandable because of what's happened to him losing his shot before.

He is not a bad mofo dude cmon, I love watching his fights to see him dump people on their heads, but other than that, what's exciting about his fights, what makes him a bad mofo?

I'm sure it felt shitty as hell, but crying about it all the time won't make you feel any better. I wouldn't mind it as much if he didn't say he'd fight anybody (including Fedor) two sentences after he said he didn't want to fight Fitch. So he is being smart, but that's also being scared regardless of what the thought process is. He doesn't want to fight Fitch for fear of losing his title shot.

I'll agree about the last part, I probably do discredit him more than I should... and many people give him more credit than they should.

You are entitled to your opinion (you know I respect it Twanky), but then by that idea.. you think Jake Shields (10 of 20 wins via decision, 50%) and Lyoto Machida (7 of 11 wins via decision, 60+ %) are also overrated because Karo is 9 out of 18 wins via decision, 50%.
