I was checking out the upcoming UFC cards today and i was looking at UFC 80. .. i'm not sure so does anyone know if this card is finalized? and if so, does anyone think it's lacking quality fights? Of course i think BJ and JoeDaddy will be a pretty sick fight and the only way i think Gonzaga-Werdum is exciting is if Gabe has a highlight reel knockout or something. Aside from that I can't say I'm particularly excited for many other fighters on this card..maybe Marcus Davis and Sam Stout but who is Per Eklund? How am i supposed to get excited for PER EKLUND?

Problem is that we are getting a massive end of the year card just a few weeks before. Remember UFC likes to start out slow and then build to a big ass card for the end of the year.

And considering that this card wont be airing on Spike I doubt I'll be watching. It'll be a half decent show, but not worth the PPV price tag. Spike/CBS/NBC and I'll be plunked down infront of the TV, otherwise no.

yeah but the ppv's surrounding 80 are very promising so im not complaining too too much. but it'd be nice to add in another good card like bring back aa against cro cop or kongo and have them face the winner of slyvia and nogeira for the belt

i dunno bout you guys, but i think this will be an early candidate, and i do EMPHASIZE EARLY, for card of the year. i think its gunna have a lot of sleeper fights that turn out to be barn burners.
Davis/Liaudin and Gouveia/Lambert are gunna be good fights! im really glad they put Gouveia and Lambert on this card and we get to see it. cuz it was a prelim at UFC 76 which was a bummer.
and we dont gotta worry bout Per Eklund...its the first fight of the card, and we probably wont even get to see it, unless its a quick one LOL
