it's already obvious that PRIDE is just on another level than UFC. talent wise UFC is nowhere close to PRIDE. HEROS is starting to do big things and make a lot of important signings. The 155lbs divison is already very strong with many established fighters. Then 185lbs divison is a bit weaker but key signings like Melvin Manhoef and Sakuraba are helping in the right direction. They just need soem HeavyWeights and they're set.

I'm sure that with deep pocket books they can pick up some big talent. Could care less where it's at, just more MMA for me.

THe problem is, everytime that they book big talent they seem to match them against someone in a freakshow match.

i'm liking their 155ers a whole lot, two of my absolute favorite fighters are in that roster, Sudo and Kid

they're doing a good job of brining some talent in though, with signing Heath Herring. they also picked a potential diamond in the rough in Brock Lesnar

Why the fuck does everyone hate the UFC so much?

Sakuraba is towards the end of his career, he isn't a top 10 calibre fighters anymore.

Rumors on MMAWeekly that Thales Leites is making his UFC debut at UFC 64 against Marquardt.

Other then a few Lightweights and Middleweights Hero's roster of fighters isn't really that strong at all.

I can't speak for everyone, but I bash the UFC a lot but I still do nt hate them. I just get frustrated when I compare a Pride card to a UFC card but I also take into consideration the amount of talent Pride has which is certainly more than UFC but in that same aspect the UFC cards are still lacking, they could put 3 star studded matches on each card as opposed to the 1-2 matches that they seem to always feed us.

I truly hope that the SYlvia vs Monson fight is on the same card as another belt holder.

Onto the htread topic, yeah K-1 Heros is looking really good though Kid is going to be gone for a few years as he trains for the olympic wrestling team. Herring was a great pickup, Lesner could be a huge pickup, Sapp if they decide to keep him as we could see a Sapp vs Lesner fight and Sakuraba is still a big name but I fear he is going to be done very soon and I hope he is not going to end up like Evander Hollyfield later on down the road and have to eat food through a straw due to all of that punishment he has taken.

The lethal strikers will be able to have a long career in MMA without any future effects of the fights but fighters like Sak that have been punished throughout their career (Sak vs Silva 1 and 2, Sak vs Shembri, Sak vs Arona, etc.) I just don't see how they will not end up like boxers that have taken a huge amount of punishment throughout their career.

besides your very rasist statement (and i would hate to see what u say about black people). The Japs dont dominate Pride, every other race does and you sound ignorant. Not to mention Pride has a deeper roster as far as talent goes than UFC and their not just gonna sit there and let UFC get all the better talent. And UFC has never had the amount of dominant fighters Pride has.

Its funny how one could be racist towards the japs, and then comment on the UFC.. the "japs" that race u seem to hate so much provide a lot more competition in Pride then anyone (despite race) in the UFC does.
