Anyway, to get back on topic,

I just think BJ has said so much about steroids and how using them is a messed up thing to do, so for him to request a recently punished user looks like BJ is just blowing smoke.

Eh, according to Hermes, BJ gives him shit about it. I don't see the problem. I mean, there's a difference between disapproving of it and refusing to associate with anyone who's done them. See killerinstinct's post re: teen pregnancies.

Plus, if what hermes said is true, that he used steroids to heal, it is different than what sherk did, which is to use roids to get a competitive advantage. My understanding was that hermes injured himself in training, and used roirds/hgh to heal up so he could fight sherk. Sherk used roids to gain advantage.

plus hermes came clean and admitted it, sherk has not.

so, while it may look hypocritical at first, it really isn't IMO.

Using roids is using roids man... Any fighter using them to recover is just as much at fault as using to perform since it's all tied to performance anyway...

I've gotta disagree. Although an extreme analogy, it is like telling a 60 year cancer patient that his smoking weed to relieve pain is just as bad as a 19 year old kid smoking weed to get high.

Drug use is not a black and white issue.

I'm not going to hold this against BJ, if for no other reason than for how Hermes initially handled the whole situation. He didn't act like a little child, he came out and admitted it, apologized, and showed genuine remorse as far as I can tell.

Honestly, the most confusing thing about this situation is why BJ would ask Hermes to train him in ANYTHING.

People need to realize that Penn doesn't give a shit about who is doing roids or not. He is only making a big deal about Sherk to get into his head and from what I can tell it is working.
