| How many fights will go to decision at UFC 79
After some thinking i was looking at the fighters and how they are matched up.
The only fight i see a real chance of going to a decision is Soko vs Machida but even that fight i do not see going because Soko is a man beast, and Machida is under so much pressure to finish a fight he is either got to slip up or finish Soko. Ends in the second.
Melvin vs Rich - they both hate each other very much an will do everything to kill each other. Ends in the first.
Mark Bocek Vs. Doug Evans - Both are coming off losses an are looking to prove they belong.
Roan Carneiro Vs. Tony DeSouza - Wrestler vs BJJ, ends early second. Both again are coming off losses an are looking to get back on track.
Jordan Radev Vs. Dean Lister - Wrestler vs BJJ ends first round. Lister is now a member of Xtreme Couture so i am really looking forward to seeing what that has done for him. Either way Jordan takes down on of the best bjj guys at 185 an gets subbed.
Anyone see a trend in the last 3 fights all wrestler vs bjj.
Nate Mohr Vs. Manny Gamburyan - Both want to prove something an will imo go all out. Ends second round.
Luiz Cane Vs. James Irvin - Irvin always brings it to the table. Just don't see it going past the second.
Soa Palelei Vs. Eddie Sanchez - Both like to stand up an bang. Ends early first round.
Chuck Liddell Vs. Wanderlei Silva - Just no way in hell i see this going 3 rounds.
Matt Hughes Vs. Georges St-Pierre - Both fighters know each other very well. Just another fight i do not see going 5 rounds.
I think 79 ends the year with a bang with all fights ending in either sub/tko or ko.
what do you all think

Poll added.
But i think this ppv has the potential to actually show all 9 or 10 fights, because many of these fights are imo going to end very fast.

Hopefully none.
I dont see Chuck/Wand going past the 1st,Matt/GSP IMO will go to the third round at most
I think Rich/Melvin hate each other so much theyre both going to go in there looking to knock the others head off as soon as possible
Lister will Sub Radev in the 2nd round,I think all the other fights will also end pretty early.
The only fight I see going to a decision is Machidas. For the simple fact that he isnt a finisher, and loves the lnp. Unless Soko can KO him quick in R1 or R2,Machida will likely pull another decision.

5 sounds about right-
Hughes / Pierre - they know each other well, and I think both will come into the fight looking to take it into the later rounds
Mohr / Manny - I think kthey'll bang pretty hard, but I doubt eithers ability to finish the fight
Radev / Lister - Is pretty much obviously gonna go the distance
Carneiro / DeSouza - Both have good ground defense and I'm not impressed with either's explosiveness
Bocek / Evans - I think this will end up being the fight of the night. Both are solid fighters, and I them both going all out. A win for either could put them in a solid position to earn title contention after another fight or two.
I can see how Machida / Soko could go to decision, but I think both will look to be impressive with the implications of a big win might potentially mean. So I think both guys come out with "guns blazing".

I see Liddell/Silva (Don't call me crazy, it'll happen), Soko/Machida, Radev/Lister and De Souza/Carneiro all going to decisions... Which is not a bad thing... Decision's can be very exciting, it's good to have a good mixture of Decisions, KOs and Subs

EDIT: no way the Wand/Chuck goes to a decision.
