i couldnt understand if this thread was another Tito bashing thread or not cuz the thread starter doesnt truly bash him, but at the same time he doesnt say anything really great about him either.

but im glad some people in here still see Tito's relevance to the exposure of the sport and it's rise to where it is today.

i truely think that Tito cant really do anything in this sport.. well if he fights like he did agaisnt Rashad... neither figher was going for the win they were just trying to go to the cards and hope they did enough... Tito is a really big body to deal with and his wrestling is good and GnP is good.. but other than that he is nothing worth worrying that much about... this may just be my ugly bias towards him but i honestly think he doesnt belong in the UFC anymore...

i would love to see Tito go to the WEC and tear through all those guys over there. seeing Tito smash Doug Marshall would definitely put a permanent smile on my face

Tito is done in the UFC, he just cannot compete anymore.

I wouldn't be suprised if he turns up in EliteXC, and is handed can after can in an attempt to bring EliteXC to the forefront, and cement his legacy at the same time. But as far as being a force in the rankings, thats over.

Tito has always been one of my fav UFC fighters. First live event i went to was Tito vs Chuck II. I always liked his GnP style and im a fan of trash talkers. His mind is now on to promoting himself and Punishment Athletics instead of the fight game but he is still a great fighter and a great coach.

I agree. But it seems all of the most memorable parts of his career are low-lights.

He's still got some things going for him. He's still marketable (because he's an asshole). He's still only 32 with 21 actual MMA bouts. That's relatively young. He's actually a decent coach.

Outside of the obvious top 8-10 fighters, he can still beat the hell out of just about anyone. He's going to sell tickets and make some younger studs famous if he's willing to sign a contract. Kind of like his nemesis, Ken Shamrock. Just an old dog who's destined to be a gatekeeper.
Agree with everything ur saying here. And I think u and grapplerguy21 are right, Tito could put a hurtin' on Shogun. I'd like to see the fight cuz it would bring more respect back to Tito's corner, imo, if he were to thrash him- which stylistically speaking is a real possibility. I'm not really a fan of Tito, but I can respect him, and think he deserves a few top ten match-ups. I'd like to see a rematch with Wandy. Have him fight Jardine. But truth is, I can't tell if HE wants these fights. He still talks like he does, but Dana needs to stop putting the Hollywood tag on Couture, and apply it where it truly belongs.

I still don't understand all the hate for Tito. Sure his hands aren't as good as most but he can still compete with top 10 guys anyday. If we're going with this site's rankings he holds wins over 2 top 5 guys. I know the Wandy fight was way back and the win over Forrest was close but they are wins. I think he is still a top guy a 205. He may not be top 10 but he can beat at least half the guys that are. He will not ever beat Chuck but that is just a horrible match up for his style. Tito may have one more title shot in him if he can beat Shogun and then another top 10 guy like Wandy or Jardine, especially if Forrest wins the title he will be begging for another crack at Ortiz in a 5 round fight.

It may be a biased opinion, but when I think of Tito, I think the following: 1) Wand - "'Tag, You're It' 2.) Randy - SPANK! 3.) Chuck I- Shove... "COME ONN!!!!!!"... KO.
4.) Evan Tanner = Go to 185 BITCH! 5.) Ken Shamrock is no Randy Couture.

Honestly, If you can find any other career highlights more memorable than his low-lights, plz let me know... dude is a great grappler, but I sill can't see him being the MMa superstar he is a made out to be. He pushed the sport to what it is today, but he still lacks that spark against [Modern("TAG WAND! YOU'RE IT!" doesn't count] top competition.
I have one... He and Jenna Jameson.... What man in his right mind would go out with such a nasty wench? My Gramps always taught to stay away from women like her, and called them porcupine girls!

Whats a porcupine girl you ask??? A Porcupine Girl is a girl that would look like a porcupine if she had as many dicks sticking out of her, as she has had stuck in her in her lifetime..... Jenna is definitely a porcupine girl!

Well I guess Tito deserves her.
