If you create dupilicate threads most people will point this out anyway, and if you ignore that (and ignore any warnings you might get from mods) you'll get the stick.
At least that's how I'm hoping this will go down so that the rules don't constitute martial law by the moderators...

With things like flaming there isn't any real way to define how much of an attack it was, so the only way to do it is a judgment call. Borderline racism was for situations where someone said something punishably racist but not enough to be banned outright.
Everything we do is a judgment call to a degree. This is just an attempt to define the punishments in relation to a judgement call a little further.

i agree, some threads are really hard not to duplicate.ive seen veteran posters such as myself and others that have done it as an innocent mistake.sometimes the tread titles will differ from each but still be the same topic.which makes it hard to tell even if you search.but i think everything will work out in the long term

If you do it repeatedly you would get the 2 points. definitely not a first time infraction. Although I will probably remove that example all together. Like I said still kinks to work out.

Like I said still kinks to work out. | oh ok, sounds better now. i was just thinking about a week ago 3 of us posted the same thread w/ in about 4 minutes. obviously not on purpose but i was imagining getting 2 points for that. lol is there anyplace users will be able to monitor their own penalty points or will we just be told we've hit a certain level if/when it comes?
